Happy Birthday

A last minute post for my Birthday card today. I was so inspired by Kristinas card and technique I had to have a go. The colours initially caught my eye as purples are easily my favourite and so I am playing along with the challenge at Shopping Our Stash #157 - Colour Our World. I also challenged my stamping mates the two Vikkis to try the technique so it's a RobVikVik challenge too.  I thoroughly enjoyed this watercolouring and will definitely be using it again. I didn't have a foliage stamp so used Versamark ink through a leafy die cut and white embossed that. Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Celebrate in Style

For Our RobVikVik June challenge the ladies have selected
Vikki W... colour photo inspiration
Robyn ... sketch
Vikki R ... to include a dress on the card.
I started out late yesterday on this card and then discarded the stamped image I was attempting to  colour.  Then decided on this vintage lady stamp I recently acquired attached to a magazine - she stamped up lovely on the blue card and then I mounted her on an embossed background that I lightly tinted with blue ink and attached a fancy label with sentiment from the same stamp set and finished off the card with a feather and button. Hello Friend

Our little trio of friends have each supplied an aspect for this months RobVikVik challenge - Robyn the colour photo image, Vikki R the layout and Vikki W suggested we use a new or very old stamp on our card.
I've used my brand new Lily stamp, painted in watercolour and mounted on an embossed distress inked background. The embossed red dots that hold the sentiment really stand out but I think it works - that's what caught my eye in the photograph. Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Water Lilies

I have two friends both by the name of Vikki and who love to stamp and make cards too.. So we decided to have our own monthly challenge - namely the RobVikVik challenge, and we each get to pick one aspect of the card.  Vikki W chose the layout and Vikki R the colours, I suggested we use a stamp we haven't used in a very very long time. So here's my card for April.  Thanks for taking a peek Robyn
ps - if by some chance you would like to join in with us crazy card makers, please just leave a comment and I'll get back to you...we don't play for prizes
