Lily Pad Challenge, OCCC - totally transparent

Morning fellow card addicts,
I'm starting off my weekend early this week as hubby is away and so my time is my own  :)
This card started out with the OCC challenge and the use of a transparency which I realize is a newish thing ...well I have had this flower stamped in my stash for a couple of years (just waiting for today) from when I was playing with overhead projector transparency sheets - I coloured the background with drawing ink and lightly squashed it between two sheets then stamped the image in black Stayzon and dusted over the flower with gold inference powder (all on the back side of the sheet), mounting the square on lemon card really makes the colour pop.. I'm so pleased OCC put up this challenge as at last I got to use my flower...it all came together with Nina's sketch challenge...thank you ladies.
Marjie has asked me if only the flower is the transparency - no, the whole square of red/orange/yellow is transparency sheet. I don't have my camera this weekend so had to scan the card, so it's a bit flat and you can't see the gloss sheen or the shimmer of the flower.

  1. Oh my, Robyn.... your colors are GORGEOUS! Is the flower a transparency or is it the whole square panel? Thanks so much for joining us at Our Creative Corner this week. Hope you'll come back tomorrow when the new challenge is posted!
