Happy Friday Smiles - for week 92, from me on this very fine evening here in sunny Queensland...really it is a glorious evening, the sun is just setting and there is a lovely breeze to cool the 26 degC. I'm smiling because we are home after 3 weeks with the family...love visiting but everyone knows there's no place like home or your own bed. Lovely to come home and see my pot plants all looking healthy and flourishing - got new pups on my bromeliads and a big bud on another.
So the mojo has been a bit lacking so far but today I got out a very cheap set of watercolour paints and had a play - they're not too bad but don't 'swim' easily...but have two cards to show, so I'm pleased. I make lots of cards and pass them onto my mum to use - she was eager for more when I phone this morning...so maybe she egged on my mojo.
Have to also show you this incredible vine we saw on our recent weekend away....called Fraser Island Creeper - a native to our area...a lady had it growing in the caravan park - it's on my must have list.Pop over to Annies blog and join in the SMILES to start off your weekend, Thanks for taking a peek Robyn
I really love your water coloured cards so I can just imagine how thrilled your Mum will be. That flower is simply beautiful...such a gorgeous colour.

ReplyDeleteI'm in love with that vine!!! What terrific flowers! And just so you know it is wet cold and dull here ... Glad you're having better weather!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos. Love that pretty flower...I envy people who have flowers for long periods...here the Mid West our weather is not good for long lasting blooms. TOO much wind, and now Snow on Sunday PM...Yuck.. Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for the visit
ReplyDeleteYour watercolor cards are absolutely amazing so I'm glad you have some new inspiration! Can't wait to see what else you'll make!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty cards Robyn.
ReplyDeleteThat creeper is glorious! What a spectacular sight this creeper would be.
!When we were last in Queensland, the Ginger plants were gorgeous too, but its too cold here for them.Nambour had them growing in front gardens!!Ginger plant envy here!!
Well done on the water colour cards. they are very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI quite agree with you that there is no place quite like home!
The vine is beautiful. It would brighten up any garden. Kate x

Wow Robyn you have the 'watercolour technique' perfected...I'm going to have to have another go.
ReplyDeleteIf I could manipulate watercolors as well as you, I'd be over the moon. These cards are AWESOME.
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous vine. I can see why you want one. However, I got a bit concerned when you said your "pot plants" were doing nicely. Here in the States, that would land you in jail (grin). That really made me smile.
beautiful painted flowers and the "Fraser Island Creeper" looks beautiful as well.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards there. I do envy people who can paint properly!
