Good afternoon from my desk here in Australia...just put my dinner on and taking a few minutes to join in the Wednesday desk visiting phenomena - WOYWW #286 ...want to know more - pop over the Julias blog and read all about it and why not join in or visit some crafty desks to see what others are up to.
My desk as it was first thing this morning...late yesterday I was working on this pink card (now posted) and left it overnight to see if I was still happy with it and then to put it all together. I asked my MIL is she'd like me to send her some cards (as I have way more than I'll use and I already give them to my mum), so I'm making a few feminine ones to add to those already in my stash to send down.
Also on my desk ink trays on the left, drawers askew as some of the mess from yesterdays workings need to be returned. Middle a bear stamp used to make a Christmas card, a corner punch, metal dies, card of coloured twine and card scraps. On the far desk my drawers of card stock underneath and white on the top left, next to that my container of Christmas cards (I am so glad I've been making these all year there's enough pressure now to get them all written up and addressed), then my stash of 6x6 and 8x8 paper packs and my die container. My curtain is pegged back as the room has terrible lighting to take photos.
Enough waffle, I'm off to post this and visit a few desks before dinner. Thanks to everyone who visit and leave kind comments I love reading them. Cheers and enjoy your week Robyn
I'm having a quick catch up while the munchkins play with the Lego.
ReplyDeleteWell done you for making enough cards to allow others to use some too....I will be lucky if I get enough for me to use lol
Hugs,

Lovely busy productive creative space Robyn! Busy busy busy!! Thanks for your nice comment and I'm glad you like my album. I'm enjoying doing it so much! As for the scratch papers, I wish everybody would do this because it's so much fun, as well as giving you a great sense of recycling and making new art as a by-product. Whenever I watch demos on Youtube I squirm at the waste lol!!
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW,

You have a cosy working space in which to craft...I like it very much! My desk is in a similar state as I think I dragged out every bit of ribbon and lace that I had and now it all needs putting back properly....sigh!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your dinner :-)
Hugs, LLJ 25 xx

ReplyDeleteYour desk is much cleaner than mine! Haha! I love that you leave out your card overnight to make sure you like it. I could use more of that!
ReplyDeleteThe pink card looks lovely. I like the idea of 'sleeping on it'. I do that with a scrapbook page.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me earlier,
Have a great week,

So glad someone else sleeps on it to see if it looks better in the morning. Lovely that you have made enough cards to be able to gift them to your Mums too, so handy to have an assortment on hand for a quick post off jobby!! Happy WOYWW to you, Annette #26

ReplyDeleteLove the pink card Robyn - how I wish I'd made my cards earlier - had so promised myself I would after the stress of last year - but struggling again! I never learn. Thanks for visiting me. Anne x #32
ReplyDeleteYou sound amazingly organised, Robyn, with your cards all made and the desk so tidy - great! How lovely, to be able to share your cards with MiL as well as your Mum. Happy WOYWW, Chris # 8
ReplyDeleteHi Robyn,
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting and Happy WOYWW. Your desk looks very organised and pretty. Lovely card.
I've tried to tidy my desk a little since the photo, so I could work on those cards. I need to work out how many Christmas cards I have made, and probably make some more for family, MIL asked me to make her a couple too.
I was asked if I wanted a table at a Christmas Fayre which was today, but I had to turn it down because I was too ill to sort out the cards and make more for kids, and Christmas.
Cazzy x
Always fun to see what you are working on!
ReplyDeleteLoving the neat desk, as always, Robyn! Such a pretty pink feminine card to go in the happy mail to send to your MIL! How lucky is she then?! Have a great week! I'm not WOYWWING, just wanted to pop in and say hello! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteNice stuff Robyn, I often give a handful of cards as a thank you or hostess gift..it kinda helps when all you want to do is make cards! The light is marvellous by our standards, I had the lights on all day at home yesterday..can be a bit depressing if you let it! Am loving the file covers in that rack, and the way you store the smaller paper packs...that is a good idea, hmmm, makes me think on...
ReplyDeleteHi there Robyn, thanks so much for popping over love uour crafty space its so much fun, loving the stash in view on desk, tidier than mine :) great idea to share your makes I do the same. ..kinda justifies expenditure too eh?? ;)
