Friday Smiles

Share a smile...Are you smiling this week? Has something given you pleasure? Are you thankful? of Did you have a good old laugh?  Why not join in and share your SMILES with us at Annies blog - Friday Smiles.
Here's my smile for the week.....we arrived home Monday after 4 weeks with our children and families over the Christmas New Year break.  Had a wonderful time with them but as always it's good to be home.  Our kind neighbour collected our mail....yes lots of Christmas cards and letter from dear family and friends across the globe.  So I spent a lovely few hours opening and reading their news....lots of smiling I can assure you.

This is the sky this afternoon, we are having our dose of humidity and that great dark cloud is moving right on over us, so with the sun (you can see on the left) shining madly we're feeling hot and heavy with the damp heat....please, please, please rain!!!
Hope you've had a great week and have some special plans for the weekend, Cheers Robyn

  4. What a joy it must have been to open all your Christmas cards at once instead of as they arrive, bit by bit.
We could certainly give you some rain but it would also have to be cold with a smattering of hail and snow. Swap you!

  6. Hi Robyn, Thanks so much for following and if ever I can help you with any info, patterns etc., please ask. The bed runner I made is so quick and the full quilt I made not too long ago (11th Oct 14) is the same technique. I cut it out one afternoon and sewed it up next day. So quick and it uses up all your fabric remnants. I can give you details if you would ever like to make one.
    Best Wishes

  9. I hope you got your rain, Robyn, love those clouds. We are cold, but hope to reach 70 in Austin today...that is warm for winter. Outside right now is a biting wind even though it is 58. Have a wonderful weekend, oops, it may be almost over in Australia!
