Hi there this fine Wednesday, so glad to be home and at my desk after 4 weeks away...but the mojo is in slow-mo. It's taken me all day to make this card, swapping about with backgrounds etc. I have based the layout on the Try Stamping on Tuesdays sketch #201, and have used my Bloom sketches STAMPlorations poppy stamp so will post also to their Anything Goes challenge. I stamped the image in Distress Ink and then when it was dry added some water to the base of the flower and touch it with Peacock Feather DI. Then add a layer to the panel and mounted that onto a background panel. Finished off with a tiny sentiment and button. Thanks for taking a peek Robyn
Robyn, I love the teal and orange combo! Beautifully layered card and...the DI watercoloring you did on the poppies is AWESOME -- love the faded/vintage effect! Hugs!!
ReplyDeleteI'm like that a lot of the time ... just dithering how what and why! Your card turned out beautifully I love the BG and the sparkle of those flourishes ... beautifully coloured flower too ... Have a good week my friend!
ReplyDeleteHi Robyn, first I'm totally going to steal your line "your mo-jo is slow-mo!" Love it. And I love your card this week to, the teal color is striking and I'm always a fan of anything flourished, it looks so classy and elegant. Thanks for joining us this week at Try Stampin' on Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteOh Robyn... this is so lovely! Love that funky background paper. I think it always takes a while for the brain to be accustomed to being back in a crafty space. I had that problem for like a week after Christmas!
