What's On Your Workdesk, Wednesday?

..in my opinion!Mid week again, and so we play WOYWW (#293) - off to travel the globe and visit the homes and desks of many talented crafty people....thanks to our host Julia who has all the details on her blog here.
My fist pic is of my desk looking mighty nice, just waiting for my return from 4 weeks away visiting our family. So glad I tidied before we left - fresh desk for a new year of fun.
And here it is this afternoon as I completed my first card (here).  My soft roller there on the right on the clear plastic packing I use as a palette when I'm playing with distress inks. Large jar of ribbon spools and the brushes, stamps and clear stamp blocks all scattered across the desk. In the middle back there is another card I've pieced together just waiting for me to decide if needs any tweeking.
I'm off now to post and visit some desks,  thanks to all you kind friends who dropped in last week and left comments. Cheers and have a wonderful week Robyn

  1. That is the neatest desk on WOYWW today and look very nice, sadly none of our desks last long in that state

  6. Wow, your space is fantastic - I love it. Your card is beautiful - I had a closer look and I love the watercolour technique you used on the flowers - they look so delicate and pretty like that - beautiful work. Thanks for dropping by my desk earlier, I hope you have a great week,

  7. OH Robyn, I could work in your craft room. You have SO much storage, and wonderfully arranged, too. I'm a neat freak, so your craft area really spoke to me!!

Thanks for visiting while I slept. Happy WOYWW from #2.

  9. Hi Robyn,
What a nice space you have! One day I will have a designated craft room. I can't wait for the day! tee hee Your desk will be ready to go when you return from your holiday.

You asked about casting on 648 stitches. I put markers every 50 stitches so that's how I kept track. I also counted twice, sometimes thrice to make sure the markers were in the right spot. I'm also knitting on the edge as I'm not sure if I'll have enough yarn to finish the project! The yarn is cotton and was hand dyed by a friend of mine. I instantly fell in love with it and bought it from her!

Thank you for visiting me already!
    Happy WOYWW

love your card very nice work! wish I would finish one and not start another till then have too many on the go but an idea hits and want to start it before I forget it and if write or pin it usually dont do either! :D

I use my ink blocks for palette, ad press onto pad, but perhaps these were re-inkers.
Thanks so much for popping over and for sharing ~ happy belated WOYWW!

  18. Some say a messy desk is inspiring, but I find that a tidy, cleaned up desk is evenly inspiring! You made a nice start into the New Year, making that card. Happy woyww, hug from Holland, Marit #50

  21. Ooh, that is tidy - and then that is pretty with the card on it. Glad you have had some time away with family over Christmas. I hope you still had nice weather wherever you were - just imagining that you have nice weather in your corner of Australia.

  22. Your room is so tidy and we have a wide shot of the room too, just a bit more of your space to see. I think your card is perfect the way it is, no tweeting required.
