A Friend...natures masterpiece

Summer of Colour 5 - Week 5 and the colours are Green + Green + Pink...
So here's  my second attempt at mixed media with a plaque using a dark green DP that I roughly covered with acrylic paint and smooched it with a scrunched plastic bag. When that was dry I stamped on some leaves in DI, but that didn't work so on with some more paint. Then I sprayed it all over with Perfect Pearls mist. After that dried I used a stencil to add some roses trailing down from the top as I usually work from the left bottom. When that dried I painted on some Magical Micas to give the roses a pink tinge, a few coats were needed as it soaked into the texture paste. I painted on some leaves  and found I had this clear sticker with a nice 'Friends' sentiment...it even stuck on well after years in my cupboard. A few pink gems finished off my project.  I am also posting to Stamplorations - new Mixed Media challenge.  Sorry for the terrible photo my camera is definitely play up.  Thanks for taking a peek

  9. I think they are just lovely. Delicate enough for a Sympathy card. Just lost a dear friend and this card reminds me of her.

  10. I intended to get here sooner, since you visited me yesterday. I really admire your use of mixed media. I think it looks GREAT. You have made a super piece and I was as surprised as you that the clear sticker hadn't lost any of its stick (I think you know what I mean).

BTW, is that your good camera, or has it been returned yet? Doesn't matter, it still takes good photos. I found these colors hard to photograph well.

  20. I really think the clear sticker is made from quality adhesive and is made specially for your plaque Robyn :) I adore those flowers and scrunching the designed paper with plastic bag is brilliant idea to achieve natural background. I just love it! Thank you for entering July Mixed Media challenge at STAMPlorations and I hope to see you again next month. Have a nice day :)
