'Tis the Season to be Jolly

A Snowman card for the July theme at 52 (Christmas) Card Throwdown.  I Don't own any snowmen stamps so I need to stretch my imagination and when I saw a melted snowman on Pinterest I knew I just had to make one...seeing as we live in Australia and Christmas is in the middle of summer, sometimes it's hard to get your mind around snowy images. I just cut out a shape in white card covered it in glue and on with the glitter. Same with the embossed swirls I did for the snowy ground. It look at bit plain so I stamped on some trees. Then after I arranged all of snowman's bits and foam taped him in place, I stamped on the sentiment and gave a light blue water wash for the sky. Thanks for taking a peek

  1. What a clever and adorable way to make the snowman appropriate for your climate! (Please forgive us northern hemisphere dwellers who tend to forget that Christmas isn't cold everywhere.) I love that he's still smiling even though he's melting. Poor fella! It's an all-around terrific card, and I'm so glad you shared it with us at 52CCT!
