What's On Your Workdesk, Wednesday
I have two work spaces this week - my desk where you'll see I'm in the midst of putting together a green floral card and deciding if the distress ink background paper I made last night should be the entire background or just a square section under the flower ...decisions, decisions ...just makes me chuckle that - spend more time deciding colours on a card than what's for dinner!! Hubby is away again this week so I've had leftovers the last two nights, makes life easy :-)
I'm also pretty pleased with myself as I actually made my first Christmas cards, yippee.
And my second pic is of the dining table set up with my machine and a baby quilt cover I'm making for the new addition in Oct. I stitched up two fitted cot sheets yesterday morning and now tackling the edges of the quilt....lucky I didn't zoom along too fast yesterday as overnight I remember I need to fit in an opening for the quilt insert - maybe pics next week if all goes well.
So that's enough of me, hope you're all having fun at your place, cheers and thanks for taking a peek
Robyn, Many congrats on the news that you will be grandparents again. Will you be making another quilt?
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good start to the week. Sue
Yea you! Grandma again. I bet that quilt was very well loved.
ReplyDeleteI'm SO glad you reposted this Robyn. It's nice to read there will be a new addition to your family soon. I was really impressed with the way you fussy cut the flower for the front of the card. Of course, I always enjoy seeing a sewing project in progress.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in again this month for Second on the 2nd. I like that you choose the same month, but in previous years. Never thought of doing that till just now.
Congrats on a second precious grandchild on the way!
ReplyDeleteLucky little ones to have a beautiful handmade quilt made by someone special in their lives.
Happy Second look and Happy August.
Congratulations on the new baby on the way. I will be a Great Aunt in October too!!!
ReplyDeleteThat quilt looks interesting. Looking forward to seeing it finished.
