Friday Smiles - week 176

Share a smile...Hi ladies.....I'm smiling and I hope you are too. I'm back, and yes it's been 3 1/2 months since I posted to Friday Smiles. Did you think I'd vanished in a puff of smoke, nope I've just been distracted and totally consumed with the house renovations

Here's my smiley pic for this week....
YES!!! it's DUST BUNNIES.
I really should be ashamed but this is what I've just swept up from the one room hubby and I have been sleeping in for 9 months. I did sweep!  Around the open floor space that didn't have growing bags of our "stuff" taking over every inch.....BUT as of this week we have moved into our new bedroom as the building works are all but done.
Old room in the process of packing up so it can finally have a makeover
New room, still to be furnished - all our gear is stored downstairs waiting for me to unpack.
But what a relief, I can sure tell you it was "some build"
Our new front entry....
There is still plenty to do but at last we can relax and do the last things at a slower pace, so  I might find time to escape to my desk in the craftavan as my room is probably the last to be done.
Well hope you've all enjoyed a wonderful week and looking forward to a cheerful weekend, cheers
Robyn

  5. Welcome back Robyn! How exciting! I know how you feel as we are in the same position and have already moved into our new bedroom. The dustbunnies I can totally understand. They live under the bed and grow when you have building work going on. Tell me about it!
I am so happy for you that at least this part is coming to an end. The craftroom will be the last.... Mine is in the process of being done now at last. Another month or so and I can move my stuff in again! I hope yours will be up and running soon too!
Your double doors entry looks fab. Very stylish.
    Happy Friday,
Have a good week with lots of smiles,
    Lisca

  6. Hi Robyn, I can't believe it so long. I can relate to the dust bunnies. My other half does the vacuuming now he's retired and I'm afraid that the underside of stuff doesn't get done quite so often but I mustn't complain. The new build looks brilliant. Have a lovely weekend with lots more smiles, Angela x

  7. Hi Robyn,

Wow, that has been a long time! I've been MIA off and on for the past year! It seems since my last knee replacement I've been in a funk. Life just sometimes get in the way!

The remodel looks great! I love your entry way. I have french doors leading to my backyard and love them. As for dust bunnies, I had an encounter this week too! It also involved socks. My washing machine quit working so the plumber came out. He fixed the washer but moved it a bit and what do I see? Dust and two socks! I figured I threw the matches away a while back so everything went into the trash!

Enjoy your new bedroom and have a wonderful weekend!

    Hugs,
    Kay

  8. Nice to see you back Robyn. Dust bunnies breed out here, especially at dog moulting time, and I never quite get on top of clearing them. Your new build looks wonderful. I am sure it was worth the wait and the disruption. Enjoy putting your own special stamp on it now. Kate xx
