I love my card today - it's so bright, colourful and cheery and I think the sentiment fits beautifully. The background panel was created by sopping up those leftover inks (both Distress Ink and Brushos) from my plastic mixing palette.... then I stamped mini feather stamps in Picket Fence DI and ruled a thin black line around the edge. I stamped one of my favourite birds stamps (I love these crazy birds you can have so much fun with colours and face expressions - I gave this one little eye brows) on a scrap and coloured the image with Brushos.... then fussy cut it, but as his feet and curls are too hard to cut I restamped the image on the back panel and positioned him on top. Then I found these foliage die cuts in my stash - just the right colour to add and finished off with my sentiment. I am posting to

WOW! You're not the only one who loves this card! I love it, too! I absolutely adore the beautifully-blended background and am so impressed that you created it with leftover inks that you sopped up! I don't think leftovers have ever looked so good! I also really like the subtle feathers in the background and how the sentiment goes along so perfectly with the scene you created. This is simply gorgeous and I'm so glad you shared your talents with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
ReplyDeleteSuper colours both the inky background and crazy bird, lovely sentiment as well. Many thanks for sharing a favourite stamp with us at Penny Black and More challenge.
