Here is my mid month card as guest designer for the CAS Mix Up November challenge - Glitter.
My elements are Stamping, Glitter, Dry Embossing and Watercolouring
For my gold embossed panel, I ran white card through the Cuttlebug with the embossing folder, then carefully added a layer of glue to the raised areas and on goes the gold glitter. I layered this panel onto shiny gold card. Next I applied a sheet of double sided tape to the top white card and ran it through the Cuttlebug with my sentiment dies. Carefully peel the protective layer from the top and sprinkle liberally with red glitter...it works really nicely without the bother of glue. Then I used a stamped and embossed rose from my stash, fussy cut it and watercoloured with Distress Inks, I added a few touches of Dimensional Magic. And when that was all dry assembled my card.
Hope you are having as much creative fun with glitter as I am, there's lots of inspiration from the Design Team pop over here and check them out and join in. Thanks for taking a peek

My goodness, Robyn, what a lot of beautiful sparkle! Someone is going to get a wonderful birthday card! Thanks so much for being our Guest Designer this month at CAS Mix Up!
ReplyDeleteYour card is so beautiful, Robyn!! Great job with dry embossing and adding glitter to the raised parts. I could see myself with glue and glitter everywhere except my card front. :) And great idea to add the sticky tape to add red glitter to your die-cut sentiment. Two wonderful and creative ways to add glitter. The rose is a beautiful image and looks perfect off the edge of the main panel. Thanks so much for being our Guest Designer at CAS Mix Up! xx
ReplyDeleteOh my, going over all the embossed lines on your background with glue must have taken some time and attention! But worth the effort as I love the effect you got. And wonderful glittery sentiment too! It was great having you as our Guest Designer this month at CAS Mix Up!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to add glitter to your embossed panel, Robyn - so it not only glitters but is raised up! Beautiful gold and red glitters - and your fussy cut rose is the perfect adornment in the corner! Thank you for being our Guest Designer at CAS Mix up this month! Julia xx
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful card, Robyn! Making the gold embossed panel must have taken some time, but it looks gorgeous! Using double-sided tape for the glittery sentiment is a great idea. Thanks for the tips! Hideko
