"Glittery" Thinking of You

This month I have been invited to be Guest Designer for CAS Mix Up challenge -
WOW what a thrill and what a challenge -
"GLITTER"
So to begin I owned just two jars of glitter - sparkly and white - very old and not much used !!!!!
So I acquired some small vials in different colours from the cheapie shop.
Then I watched some tute videos because I didn't have a clue how to start.
Never mind I got the hang of it and my recently purchased large roll of double-sided tape was just what was needed.  Next followed a lot of glitter everywhere - how do you get the leftovers back into those tiny vials.....
Finally a card to share---
For this card I covered a square of card with double sided tape and simply sprinkled on the purple glitter.... it's fine and really sticks nicely. Then after some playing around with the die cut bouquet I decided to add some more glitter off to the side..... here I used the glue like an ink pad (spread thinly on my plastic work sheet) and a piece of textured plastic that I 'stamped' partially onto the card and sprinkled on the glitter.  I stamped and silver embossed my sentiment and to finish added a pearl and mini bow.
My CAS Mix Up elements are - Stamping, Glitter, Heat Embossing, Die Cuts
I'll be back with another card, now it's all over to you to join in the 'glittery' fun

  1. First off - welcome Robyn as our Guest DT this month at CAS Mix Up - and kudos for jumping right in to try something you hadn't done much before! What a lovely color glitter you chose and using it on a square panel really creates beautiful color and glittery shine! I also like how you experimented with textured plastic to get that fun stenciling look on the side - your die cut bouquet in white looks lovely against the purple! Julia xx

  6. Your card is gorgeous, Robyn. LOVE the design. Great job working with loose glitter ... and it is probably loose all over your craft room! :) So hard to contain, but doesn't it look fantastic!! Love the purple. Makes a great background for your pretty die-cut bouquet. The stenciling with glitter is awesome. Great design element! Thanks so much for being our Guest Designer this month at CAS Mix Up!

  7. Gorgeous and creative ways to use your pretty purple glitter, Robyn. I was amazed to see that your glittery square was not glitter paper, but double stick tape covered beautifully in glitter:-) Loved your glitter and plastic mesh off to the side and pretty die cut bouquet. All so pretty and such a wonderful CAS design. So happy to have you as our Guest Designer this month my friend. Happy glittery stamping...Hugs

  9. What a wonderful idea to have a solid square of glitter and then the partial stamping covered in glitter next to it - great mix of textures! Love the simplicity of the white die cut on top. Thanks so much for being our Guest Designer at CAS Mix Up this month!

  10. I love that beautifully bright pink glitter Robyn and the white die cut flowers look wonderful over the top, and love that extra bit of glitter in that sweet dotty pattern to the side, together with the silver sentiment both finish it perfectly. x

  11. Congratulations on guest designing at CAS Mix Up Challenge this month, Robyn! I love the combination of your purple glitter square and partial stamping. The white flower die cut pops against the solid glitter and dissolves into the mesh like glitter space. Great design! Hideko
