Birthday Wishes
Of course my card had to include a waterlily when casing this weeks Sweet Gupta's lovely card over at Muse challenge #268. I stamped my image with DI in Antique Linen to achieve a no line effect when I watercolured with Distress Oxides, then fussy cut it out. I die cut a wavy border on a background created with DO and backed the cut out with shimmer light gold metallic paper, leavinga a fine border along the top edge too, then attached this to a white card before stamping on my sentiment. I chose to use a pink card as it helps frame and lift the image. I have used elements... waterlily, layout, gold, watercoloured image as inspiration. I am also playing along with Watercooler Wednesday challenge WWC172 - Anything Goes, and Seize the Birthday - Anything Goes challenge. Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Beautiful card! I find no line coloring to be very difficult but you did a masterful job!
ReplyDeleteYour water lilies so very lovely then that intricate wavy die just makes this card so elegant! Sure glad you shared your talents with us at Seize the Birthday! Please join us again soon!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty coloring on your water lily. I love the touch of gold weaving through the design too. A great addition.
ReplyDeleteOh this is such a sweet card. Love how the gold is visible under all the die cutting. The water lily itself looks marvellous, lovely colouring. The muddy green is so elegant for the leaves and goes so well with the peachy pink of the lily. Thanks for playing at the Muse. Hugs, Sweety.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty, delicate card, Robyn! I just love waterlily images! Thanks so much for joining us at Watercooler Wednesday this week!
ReplyDeleteWow Robyn, what a gorgeous creation. The no-line watercolouring really works amazingly well for this beautiful image. And the wavy die-cut line with the gold underneath sets it off so well, too. Love the feminine look to this elegant card. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
