Two wine bottle cards

This month really had me thinking about a 'Beverage' theme for the July #7 Twofer Card Challenge.  I finally settled on a small stamp featuring a wine bottle and two glasses.

I made a Birthday card and a Friendship one.
For my birthday card I stamped two girl friends, and did some paper piecing and minimal colouring and fussy cut them.... the same for my wine bottle and glasses.  Then I chose this old brayered background from my stash and even found this wonky frame leftover from a square die cut and positioned the girls behind it.  Lastly I stamped my sentiments and arranged them in place with foam tape.

On my second card I used a stamp with a little vineyard scene - stamped and water coloured with Distress Inks on my back panel.  Then I stamped my picnic basked of goodies, coloured these and fussy cut them out.  I stamped on my sentiments, and dry embossed a frame and layered the card on a teal background.  To finish I arranged the items in the basket and attached it with foam tape.

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend.

  1. I want to live next door to you, Robyn! You know how to have fun! I love how you positioned your girlfriends inside that wonky frame (wonky is perfect for them, lol!), the great colorful blended background, and your perfect sediment for the wine party celebration!! And what a sensational basket of party supplies you made for your Twofer! It's a lovely basket of friendship and good times and it looks so amazing with the vineyard scene, sediment, scoring, and framing!! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #7! Hugs, Darnell

  2. When I started reading your post I was thinking COFFEE to keep you warm Robyn. Alas not so. How clever you were here with your 2 very different beverage cards. The first one is full of fun and simply awesome and the second one I am thinking Italy and the movie Letters to Juliette with all the wineries. Fabulous creativity.

  3. What better way for girlfriends to celebrate a birthday than with a glass (or two or three...) of wine! That's one fun birthday card, and I'm still smiling at those two 'wonky' women! Great background, btw..! Your basket full of goodies card, is amazing. LOVE that vineyard scene and wouldn't a picnic be lovely to take to a place like that. It's a fantastic card. Both of them are! Thanks for joining us at the Twofer Challenge! Bev
