Enjoy the little things..

I do so love trees - we have two huge shady mango trees in our backyard, and I just had to make another 'Tree' card for the CAS Watercolour September challenge.   I mixed my Distress Inks again with the Oxides... swiping a stripe of three shades of green on my work mat, lightly misting and plonked on the bottom half of my panel.  Then when it was dry I did the same with three shades of blue for the sky...I rapt with the sky probably couldn't do it again if I tried (it's nicer in real life).  Then I inked my stamp image in tree colours and with the help of the Misti and a few layers my girls have a great tree  for a swing... just like out the back in the mango tree.  To finish I trimmed the panel, framed it with blue onto an off white card and then stamped on my sentiment.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day.

  1. Love how you've done the grass and the sky with those inks. The swiping looks great, so unique, very peaceful and beautiful colours. The lone tree looks fabulous and perfect for the children and their swing. It must be wonderful to see the two Mango trees in your back garden x.
