CAS Stencil February challenge

I used Brushos for my card and a layering of a stencil and die cut circle ... sponged on white pigment ink, remove the stencils and embossed with white EP.  Then sprinkled on the powdered inks in blues and purple and lightly spritzed with water, let it dry and die cut a circle. To finish this card I used a cream card base and from a cream card front I used the same die as I used to cut my circle to create a window. I used foam tape to attach it card and positioned the blue circle in place, finished off with a die cut swirl and sentiment stamped on some of the scrap.

Then seeing so much white ink on the stencil I turned that over onto white card and ran the brayer over it a few times and then proceeded as above, being a bit more liberal with the Brushos and water ... so I got to make two cards.
For this card I die cut a circle again from the inked panel and simply attached it with foam tape to a purple square card, where I stamped and white embossed my sentiment, used the edge of a metal die to score a corner and added two different die cut butterflies, die cut from purple scrap, topped with a gem.

Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it   -   so I'll finish hoping you are safe and will find some time to join in the challenge... pop over to the CAS Stencil blog and check out the teams lovely cards.

We are safe.....
no power, hotspotting with my mobile to update our situation... might not be posting for a bit.
Front of house, only gutter water Saturday, mid calf Monday morning

Back yard, 36cm yesterday, 76cm this morning
So we've woken up this morning Tues 5 Feb  to this.... the water has drained away just about completely, thank goodness, but we're some of the lucky ones, it truly is a disaster zone, now for the clean up...

  13. Both cards are so elegant and beautiful, Robyn! The combination of heat-embossed pattern and the Brusho stenciling turned out fantastic! The die-cut swirl is really an elegant touch and echoes the pattern of the stencil.
And you got two cards with one inking. The monoprint looks beautiful with the layered purple butterflies!
I'm so glad that the water drained away quickly and that you and your family are safe and sound.
