Well I've been having heaps of fun trying out ideas with pigment powders for this month CAS Stencil challenge.....
This is my first attempt... to much Versamark - using a new juicy pad
Then this one --I used the stencil twice, masking off sections.... not so much ink, lots of shimmer but the colour was soft and light
I made cards from these two 'messes' so I'll post them on a new post.
So then I sponged Distress Ink through the stencil - in pink, yellow and green, then the Versamark and tamped over with Lindy's Magical Micas in the same shades....to set the micas I waved the panel through a light spray of water - very light. Lots more color and shimmer. To finish the card I framed the panel cut with a double stitched die and added a die cut sentiment.
I am also posting to Watercooler Wednesday challenge WWC224 - Karen's Feminine "Anything Goes" challenge.
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - the team would love for you to join in and share your stenciled cards... there's lot of inspiration on the blog and you'll see the DT have used their pigment powders in lots of different ways.

ReplyDeleteIt's great to see your attempts and what worked the best. All of them are gorgeous colours and shine. This is such a pretty stencil Robyn, and perfect for the colours you've used. I never thought of using Distress inks instead of Versamark. Another great way to use Mica powders!! xx
