"JOY" Christmas cards

It's called multi-tasking.... otherwise we'd never get to our crafting space.....

So I continued on from a recent post, making QACAS cards and  playing with a stamped and embossed sentiment and sponging colour to the edge to create a spotlight effect so the sentiment shines out.
First card Purple and Silver - stamped and silver embossed sentiment on purple card, then blended purple and black DI around the edge.  Added a silver framing layer to panel onto a purple card and finished off with a few crystal gems.
My second card I swapped out the sentiment stamp and stamped and embossed in gold on a mustard yellow panel, then blended yellow, brown and grey DI around the edge.  I used black to add a fine frame onto a brown card.... then decided it needed a bit extra, so added  die cut holly in red and green metallic card.

I am playing along again with CAS Christmas February challenge - JOY

  5. Your two Christmas cards are gorgeous with the deep, saturated colours. The sponging really brings focus onto the sentiment. LOVE the first one done in purple. Looks like you could do this in any colour and it will look fantastic. Second card is beautiful. The added holly and berries is so pretty. xx

  6. Two beautiful "joy" cards in very striking colours! Love them both. Wonderful sponging to keep the centres light to allow the sentiments to stand out.
