Isn't it great when you can make two cards at the same time.
That's what happened for me today.
Playing along with the CAS Mix Up February challenge - Use a Die Cut as a Stencil.
First I die cut the 'Texture Woven' die from white card and taped it in place on a white card panel... then blended Mustard Seed Distress Oxide over the die to give a background for my stamped, watercoloured and fussy cut daffodil. Stamped and gold embossed the sentiment and die cut the panel with crazy double stitched die and attached to a deep gold card.
For the second card I used the die cut that is now yellow from the blended DO and attached it to a white card. I stamped the daffodil again using the yellow, orange and green DO inks and used them to watercolour the image. Then to finish added a stamped sentiment strip with foam tape.
I am playing along with Watercooler Wednesday WWC257 - Heidi's challenge Anything Goes with a Feminine Twist.
Thanks for stopping by my blog --- have a Happy Day

ReplyDeleteThey're gorgeous!! I love daffodils but unfortunately the high winds we've had have brought down most of mine.. Thankfully the shops all have bunches for £1 and I have them in vases... They are so cheerful... Have a beautiful day
ReplyDeleteOh Robyn, this is so bright and cheery. Can't wait for those daffodils, beautifully framed too. Thanks for joining us at CAS Mix Up! xx
ReplyDeleteAlways great when you can get two cards from a background, Robyn. This woven die makes a fantastic stencil and it looks great on the second card as well. Love the bright yellow and orange of your spring daffodils. xx
ReplyDeleteWonderful cards Robyn love the colours you used.
