Two Cards Featuring Stars

Today for my two cards for the November Twofer Card Challenge #33 - STARS  --- I have used both a die and a stencil and created two Christmas cards.....
....  as per the "Twist" Darnell has allowed for those of us catching up on our Christmas cards.

I used a starry stencil and gold and pink mists to create the background...it bled a little but I'm ok with that.... found a matching stripped DP and some darker metallic card - where I used the star die to cut four shapes to place along one edge... for the sentiment I used a strip of ribbon with gold lettering, then assembled the card with foam tape behind the stars.

On my second card I used white texture paste through the stencil then when that was dry spritzed with gold mist.  Found some patterned gold wrapping paper and used a torn edge die to cut this for a border.  I die cut a pale gold metallic star with the small star die and used the larger die to create a star outline.  To finish I die cut a sentiment from the gold paper.

Thanks for stopping by my blog   ---   have a Happy Day and stay safe

  1. Two lovely cards Robyn but think they have to be for two different occasions???
    .... maybe check the challenge?
... maybe just change the purple one with a temporary tag across saying “thinking of you” and change it back later to a Christmas one! 😉👌
Thanks for being a blessing, and may God bless you too, especially in these unusual times! Praying you’re all kept well too!

  3. Great job using the twist this month and making two very elegant Christmas designs, Robyn! I love them both and especially love how you used two different techniques for the stenciled backgrounds, leaving each one with lots and lots of schparkle! The colors of your first design are so unexpected and fresh and I love the ribbon. And your second design is stunning in all that brilliant gold and fab use of wrapping paper. Thank you so much for playing in TCC #33! Keep well! Hugs, Darnell

  4. Those shimmery, pearly pinks are fabulous, Robyn ... what a delicious contemporary colour combo ... the die cut stars contrast wonderfully with the delicate stencilled background! Yummy texture on your second card ... that elegant sentiment and outline star are lovely against it ... gold and white are so classy! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Anita :)
