- created my lovely vellum piece using wild plum and butterscotch Adirondack AI, lightly misted with blending solution and then a mist with a Gold Pearl Ex and water blend.
- trimmed the panel and not wanting to waste any, created two cards
Card 1
- Die cut a frame with Poppy Craft stitched flag tails - reversing during the cutting to create a rectangle.
- Layered the AI vellum onto cream card to enhance the colours and assembled the panel
- Stamped and gold embossed sentiment from Happy Little Stampers -Especially for You set onto the bottom of a white card
- Die cut a flower stem - Sizzix - Wildflower Stems #1 from white card and attached to the card
Card 2
- Stamped and gold embossed the flower heads from Happy Little Stampers - Dandelion Wishes onto the vellum
- then attached the piece to shiny gold card, leaving a small border to frame the panel and fixed to a white card
- Stamped and gold embossed and fussy cut the sentiment from Jillibean - Balloon Party set and attached with foam tape.

also with Seize the Birthday #218 - Framed
Thanks for visiting --- have a Wonderful Creative weekend, cheers
Two gorgeous cards Robyn. Alcohol inks on vellum is so fun ... and addicting! It's wonderful you were able to get two cards from the one technique. Love it paired with the white die-cut and frame. The second one is elegant with the gold embossed flowers and gold foil frame. xx
ReplyDeleteI love color so you know I am quite taken with your cards Robyn. I am going to start calling you Wonder Woman!

WOW! A twofer using our challenge criteria! You really have this AI thing down pat. Such a pretty color combo. Wish I could see the gold shimmer from the Pearl Ex. Love the way you enhanced one with the diecut flower and the other with gold embossing. Thanks so much for sharing them with us at CAS Mix Up.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous colors on those alcohol inked vellum backgrounds, Robyn! Wow! Love your choice of floral die cuts too! Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous background you have created Robyn, and you have used it beautifully on these two stunning cards! Love the colours, especially your choice to use the gold underlay and gold embossing on the second card.
