The theme at Double 'D' challenge is Owls or Pumpkins.... very Halloween.... but as we don't really celebrate this event in a big way in Australia...
I decided to use one of my favourite stamps...Santa Rosa - Pigmy Owl ... isn't he gorgeous
- Stamped the owl with Versafine Vintage Sepia which helps a lot with the colouring
- Then watercoloured with Distress Oxide inks - Vintage Photo, Fossilised Amber, Speckled Egg
- Trimmed the panel to fit a matching blue/green card - first I ran the edge of the panel over the brown ink pad

Owls are truly amazing birds - we used to have an owl family in our neighborhood but it looks like she has decided to find a new home especially since we have a hawk family every year.
ReplyDeleteI see you have a new heading -- fantastic!! I am particularly interested in the rust colored flower card. That really looks special. Is it on your blog some where? You certainly know how to work your computer - you smart lady!!
Your Owl card is really wonderful - you know how to paint with distress inks. Me not so much. Really enjoyed your post today Robyn.
