Quick Christmas Cards

End of June and time to join the Rudolph Days Challenge to add cards to my Christmas Stash

Two cards using the fabulous die from the Die Cutting magazine...  the hardest part of making these was poking out all the little die cut bits...  then find some nice background card /smooched inky gladwrap piece to show off the design.... you even get some snowflakes and stars to add around the image.

Thanks for stopping by my blog,

Have a great weekend

End of the month cards..

This month has been a busy one for me.... we had a really successful, fun morning tea for our Crochet Group Cancer Council fundraiser.  And another morning tea in our carport for hubbys golfing friend who has MND and is confined to a wheelchair... lovely to have all the his friends around.  Also had time with my daughter who's enjoying some stress free time from work and she's taken on a water painting class, so we had a bit of creative fun..

I showed her the outline water colour cards I made and we did a few..

and I did a couple of free hand painted ones

Then I had time to finish off a card using the Bokeh technique the girls at
have been showcasing this month

so I've have had so creative time at my desk to join in with Darnell and her
IDEAS prompt - Anything Goes for the fourth week of the month.

Embossed cards

Had a crazy idea to just dry emboss parts of a embossing folder by rotating it and not completing the roll through the machine and it kind of worked.... then I swiped it with Versamark and white embossed it. To finish just added a sentiment from my stash and a die cut butterfly from some metallic smooched card. I'm joining in the fun at Just Add Ink #706 Inspirational photo using blue and white.

Then as it's Week 3 of Darnell's IDEAS prompt I have another Embossed card - this front piece was from my stash already to attach to a card and add a sentiment.

I'm a little late card making this week as I've joined a 'Crochet-a-long' project...
this is my Mosaic in a Month blanket so far... 4 parts done, 7 to go

Two cards with the same Die Cut

This rather long floral die has stitched vertical edges but not on the top and bottom,,, so I die cut it from white card and trimmed it to fit a card... then using a smooched background (rescued from the Distress Inks technique I used last week) behind to show off the design and finished the card with a gold embossed sentiment....

As it is the second Monday of the month with

Darnell's IDEAS IDEAS prompt - it is Die/Die Cuts week

I have also been playing around with the Bokeh technique being the focus of
The Group of Seven Cardmakers for this month.
And used this piece as a background to the second of my floral die cuts where I've trimmed away all the frame, and I think looks nice on the "Aqua's" background... finished with a white embossed sentiment

Some Fun Watercolouring

I saw this technique on Pinterest and figured why not try this with an outline stamp.... so I smooched Distress Oxide inks on my worksheet and inked my stamp from this and used a wet brush to pull the colours from the outline... I love how it turned out... bit similar to last months technique at Group of Seven Cardmakers using a Speedball Elegant Writer.
And it's the first Monday of the month so with Darnell's IDEAS prompt it's time for some INK/Colour Medium.

I used the colours for the Just Add Ink challenge #704- and randomly stamped the image on white card then finished off with a stamped sentiment.

I had so much fun I made a second card and added some turquoise ink.  I think these are very summery colours so I'm joining in the challenge at Four Season - Anything Goes Summer

May Card Chain Challenge Reveal

Hello and welcome to my card reveal for the
My card was sent off to Chris in the USA and featured the challenge colour palette - gold, raspberry, blueberry, scoring technique and friendship theme.

I stamped and gold embossed the floral image and watercoloured with Distress Inks.  I scored vertical lines on white card and arrange the fussy cut image with some die cut foliage and finished with a stamped gold embossed sentiment.
