Continuing on from last week..... I'd like you to meet Ms Evie White and Ms Henrietta Brown... our two new hens - well really they're the hubby's - he got them for fathers' day from our kids. And we are smiling as Ms White has been laying eggs, yippee, fresh, free range. My garden sure is getting a good turn over, lots of scratching about, but less bugs
Can you see the three cats, keeping on eye on the new chickens...they weren't sure the first day but all settled in now.
And of course it wouldn't be a smiley week without the girls surprising us.... here is Mia, yep walking along with her 'toy walkie thing'
BUT there's more - in one week, we don't need that anymore....yesterday she stood up and hesitantly took a step.... and then two ... and then six, I think she's up to 10 today. And here they are yesterday enjoying some fun time in the tub - we did put warm water in it, it is beautiful weather here but not so hot you need to go for a cool dip.
Now if you've enjoyed your week, why not share some happy thoughts over on Annies blog
What a beautiful post Robyn. You have so much to smile about. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Robyn, great photos. Nice to see the girls having a good time and the new chickens look good too, hope they get on okay with the cats. Have a great weekend, Angela x
ReplyDeleteWow! Chickens! Great! I love fresh eggs (well, who doesn't). Has Ms Henrietta laid eggs yet?
ReplyDeleteWell done Mia for walking so quickly! The toy walker thingy has bnot been necessary for long, has it. Great photos of you kiddies in the bath. Enjoy.
Have a good week,
Lisca
A lovely happy post Robyn. It looks as if they're having great fun in the tub. Goodness there will be no stopping Mia now she's really on the move. The chickens look well at home in your garden. Enjoy your nice fresh eggs. Barbxx
ReplyDeleteHi Robyn, Thanks for sharing your girls enjoying themselves. Now there'll be no stopping Mia.
ReplyDeleteI have a soft spot for chickens. You can't beat fresh eggs.
Hope you have a lovely weekend. Sue
I have always fancied a few chickens. We had some in the garden when I was little, but since I have had my own home, there has never been a suitable space. I hope they continue to give you lots of lovely fresh eggs.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of the girlies enjoying the water. A cool dip sounds just fine to me right now. There will be fun and games now Mia has 'found her feet'. I love those first uncertain steps. Have a great week. Kate xx
Hi Robyn. I really love chickens and fresh eggs. Their names are very cute! Speaking of cute, Mia is adorable. I see everyone had a blast in the tub.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the smiles!

Hi Robyn, I have a special fondness for chickens having kept them in the past so your husbands two definitely made me smile. I can well remember the excitement of finding our first new laid eggs too. Lovely photos of the girls too and how exciting that Mia has begun to walk. Thanks for your earlier visit and comment. Elizabeth xx
