This male birthday card is my attempt at using a black base for a CAS card. I decided to see how sponged Distress Oxides would go layered onto a grey background - I used Spiced Marmalade, Twisted Citron, Black Soot and Broken China....they're not as bright as I thought but I don't mind the effect. Some of the sponging looked a bit like the workings of a clock - so I added a fussy cut, stamped, embossed watch to my stamped sentiment and to finish added a coiled paperclip as my metal element.
I am posting to CAS Mix Up - Layered Stencils, Stamping and Heat Embossing. Also The Male Room challenge #71 - Use Metal and Anything Goes at Seize the Birthday. Thanks for taking a peek
LOVE the mix of stencils you've used, Robyn. I have not tried DOX inks on coloured paper yet ... they look fantastic on the gray. And it is perfect with the black card base. The clock and metal coil are awesome embellishments. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up!
