Two Cards featuring a Wreath

This month the theme at Darnell's Twofer Challenge #11 is Wreaths -  and I've made a Christmas card and a Thinking of You card.

First for my Christmas card, I stamped my twig wreath twice with green and brown Distress Ink and added some holly and foliage stamped in Distress Oxides.  Stamped my robin, used pencils to colour the image and fussy cut him out. I added some embossed corners using a metal die and tan mat.  Assembled my card on a red base and to finish added a red die cut sentiment.

For my second card I stamped the wreath twice in Distress Oxides in browns on cream card....framed this with a dark brown layer onto a light brown card.  I stamped my sentiment in brown and embossed with clear EP  and mounted the strip with foam tape.  To finish I added a bow, twine and twisted raffia to the corner of my wreath and decorated it with matching pearls.
Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

  1. I love the country feel of both of your cards, Robyn! The sweet robin is so pretty on your Christmas wreath bedecked with holly and mistletoe and I love the beautiful bow and twine on your thinking-of-you card! The matting and pearls make it an elegantly rustic design!! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #11! Hugs, Darnell

  4. These are two really lovely cards, Robyn. That little bird on your Christmas card is adorable, and the colors are just right for the season. Great font for that die cut sentiment, too. I absolutely love your 'thinking of you' card. It's really pretty and that double bow and the little pearls are fabulous. These are just wonderful. Thank you for joining us at the Twofer Challenge.
