Hello Special Friend

A bit more experimenting today using baby wipes for the May CAS Mix Up challenge.
First I used a dry baby wipe to roughly colour DO in Shaded Lilac, and Wilted Violet onto glossy photographic paper. Then I used a favourite EF and and embossed it upside down (that wasn't the idea), so as the pattern was indented I decided to brayer Seedless Preserves over the panel...then comes the fun part - when nearly dry I used a wet baby wipe to bring up the glossy rich finish. I trimmed the panel and die cut a stitched frame.  The background was too busy so opted to simply cut two different butterflies in white and the 'hello' sentiment three times to give it depth.  To finish I arranged the pieces and stamped on the rest of my sentiment.

Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it, happy card making.

  1. Great technique with those vibrant colours on your striking card. The embossing folder worked out really well and love the white frame drawing your eyes into the pretty butterfly and die cut sentiment x. Wonderful addition to the gallery....Thanks x

  2. Love the combination of techniques to make this gorgeous card Robyn! The seedless preserves with the white accents create so much amazing contrast. Beautiful! xx

  3. Awesome, Robyn! You took this challenge to a whole new level by using a dry wipe and brayer on the photo paper! Wonderful results and the crisp, white butterfly and sentiment make a great contrast! Thanks so much for adding this at CAS Mix Up!

  4. Such a beautiful and elegant card, Robyn! LOve the effect of the baby wipe and the dry embossed background. The "before and after" picture is wonderful to show the magic. :-) So glad to see your creation in the CAS Mix Up gallery!
