Happy Birthday
Hot one today outside, so nicer place to be than at my desk with the AC on..... so I've been playing around with metal foil (those foil pieces you have to remove from the Milo tin inside the lid), along with Alcohol Inks and embossing powders... first I dry embossed the foil and then dripped yellow and green AI on, waited a few minutes then sprinkled on gold and clear EP and heat set them - I really like the result - then I ran a black ink over the raised pattern and heat set it. I die cut circles of the foil and then using two round dies, cut a circle frame in black card for each foil piece. I decided to go with a one layer card and stamped and clear embossed the sentiment and to finish arrange the foil piece with foam sheet under the two smaller ones.
I am playing along with CAS Mix Up November challenge - Oxidized Metal.... using stamping, heat embossing, dry embossing, alcohol inks, and oxidized metal technique.... AND .... Stamplorations Theme & Photo challenge - theme Stamps and Circles.
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it, happy card making.

Fantastic color and texture on you "oxidized metal", Robyn! I love how you've cut it into three different size circles and framed each of them. Thanks so much for sharing this with us at CAS Mix Up!

ReplyDeleteLOVE your oxidized metal pieces Robyn! They are a beautiful mix of colours. The black highlighting really shows off the dry embossing. xx
ReplyDeleteThe depth of colour is awesome on your foil pieces Robyn and I love how you framed them. Thanks for sharing at CAS Mix Up this month.
