Have a Beautiful Day

For this card I used a stencil to create the background with Distress Oxide ink with just one colour blending from light to deep colour.  Then I printed off the digi mug and used Distress Inks to watercolour it and fussy cut it out, mounting it to the card panel with foam sheet.  I stamped and white embossed the sentiment on a black card to finish.

AND I am also joining in for the first time at Day Of The Month  challenge 20 - International Coffee Day

Merry Christmas

Somewhere in FB or Pinterest I saw this technique - gold embossed stamping on red card and sponged black edges.... I selected some Christmasy foliage stamps for my card and to finish added a shiny gold die cut sentiment with shadow die cut backdrop and attached to a black card. I love this technique and have already made a floral birthday card, I'm going to experiment with different coloured card.  I am play along with three Christmas themed challenges as we replace card making with Christmas festivities - cooking and eating ... mmmmm
Kickstart challenge #26 - Last minute madness...  AND .... STAMPlorations Theme & Photo Prompt - Stamps and Holidays  ....  AND ..... Jingle Belles - "wrapping'' up their 9th year.
Thanks for visiting, and I wish you allllll a VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS, and no doubt I'll be back before the new year - HUGS

Happy Birthday

Hot one today outside, so nicer place to be than at my desk with the AC on..... so I've been playing around with metal foil (those foil pieces you have to remove from the Milo tin inside the lid), along with Alcohol Inks and embossing powders...  first I dry embossed the foil and then dripped yellow and green AI on, waited a few minutes then sprinkled on gold and clear EP and heat set them - I really like the result - then I ran a black ink over the raised pattern and heat set it.  I die cut circles of the foil and then using two round dies, cut a circle frame in black card for each foil piece.  I decided to go with a one layer card and stamped and clear embossed the sentiment and to finish arrange the foil piece with foam sheet under the two smaller ones.
I am playing along with CAS Mix Up November challenge - Oxidized Metal.... using stamping, heat embossing, dry embossing, alcohol inks, and oxidized metal technique....   AND .... Stamplorations Theme & Photo challenge - theme Stamps and Circles.
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it, happy card making.
