Two Holiday Greenery Cards
This month is going so crazy fast...only a week left...wow
Anyway I did find time - just - to make two cards for the Twofer Card Challege #22 - Holiday Greenery.... I decided to use this sprig ------
I made a square card with a wreath and the second card as a Christmas tree.
For my wreath I stamped the sprig in four shades of green Distress Oxide Ink in a circle and then added a die cut sentiment in sparkly gold over a layer of vellum. To finish I added a border of sparkly gold onto a white card.
Then for the tree I masked the bottom of white card and sponged blue ink for the background then I stamped the sprig in two shades of green Distress Ink in the shape of a tree. I discovered I had some mini ornaments, so randomly stamped and gold embossed them and then added colourful gems to them. To finish I stamped and gold embossed the sentiment and used gold card to created a border onto a green card.
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy stamping

I have this stamp set in my NBUS box and I'm delighted to see how you used that sprig! Gorgeous stamping and clever use of the sprig. Into my CASE file. Thanks for more wonderful inspiration, Robyn!
ReplyDeleteYou used your magic fingers with that sprig for these beautiful designs, Robyn! I love it as a wreath! Using different colored greens gave it so much dementia! The gold sediment and vellum and the gold matting make this super elegant! I also love how you formed the perfect Christmas tree using just the one sprig! I'd love that in my living room with its brilliant bejeweled and golden ornaments!! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #22! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteExcellent cards, Robyn. Just lovely.
ReplyDeleteWow, Robyn! One little sprig of greenery and you've taken it to such heights. I am so impressed by what you've done here. Your wreath is lovely, and I'd love to hang that on my front door. The sentiment fits so perfectly in its center, and the gold you've used really boosts the elegance level. Your Christmas tree, however, blew me away! I love this idea, and that you even found little ornaments to decorate it with. So very cool. Thank you for joining us at The Twofer Challenge. Bev
