Special Occasion Waterlily card

Of course I had to choose Water Lily for the

I stamped my image in grey ink and lightly watercoloured with Distress Inks then added detail with coloured pencils... added a touch of sparkle with glitter glue to the dragonfly and water ripples.
It's a large image and I finally decided to add the lattice frame... had to adjust and cut twice to change the sizing but with the little cut outs it lined up wonderfully.  Trimmed purply pink card to highlight the frame and attached to a white card.... enough busyness so I left off a sentiment so the card can be used for any occasion.

I am also playing along at Watercooler Wednesday  WWC 316 - Cathy's challenge - All About Occasions.

Just Because....

From my pre stamped stash I found this butterfly already to go on a stitched die cut panel.. I think I inked it with markers, lightly water spritzed and stamped.  Then I dug out this embossing folder with a butterfly and decided to add some embossed detail... but found it was angled wrong...SOOO I turned it just enough to suit and fit through the Cuttlebug.  Today I coloured in the butterfly white spaces with aqua pencil and added glitter glue and pearl gems...and also lightly to the embossed butterfly.  The stamped pink sentiment was also in my stash, so I trimmed it and layered it onto aqua stitched die cut card and added some pearl gems and attached with foam tape.  Added a pink layer frame and attached to a jade coloured card.

Two Cards Featuring Cupcakes

This month at Twofer Card Challenge

I am nearly to the deadline for my post... one got slightly distracted finishing my latest afghan square instead of completing my second card.....!!!
I've made a Birthday card and an Invitation... here in Australia it is the Cancer Council Big Morning Tea event so hence my card.

Stamped and silver heat embossed my Cupcake on matt silver card so I could fussy cut out the patty paper and then again in blue and pink glitter card and clear embossed for the cupcake icing....then I glued on some micro beads on matching colours.  In my stash I found this cupcake designer paper, lucky it was similar colours to my cupcakes but a bit short so I attached a strip of the pink glitter card.  To finish I added a die cut sentiment cut from aqua metallic card and attached the panel to a white card.

\

On my desk I had this white dry embossed panel and thought to use it for my card front.. stamped on the sentiments and small pink cancer ribbon and watercoloured the embossed sections with Pink Distress Ink.  Stamped and fussy cut the cupcake and covered the top with texture paste and then lots of glitter and coloured the patty paper pink.  Stamped and fussy cut the cancer ribbon and coloured that too with pink Distress Ink and attached the cake with foam tape, and then the panel to a pink card.

Hope Your Day is Beautiful

For this months challenge I chose a border embossing folder - embossed on white card, which I then water coloured with Distress Inks and then added gems and glitter glue to create a pretty meadow image.  To add to the effect I lightly sponged clouds with a stencil to the background.  I die cut two different butterflies from colourful gloss card in my stash (Distress Oxides on photographic paper and buffed with a damp baby wipe) and added gems to these too.  Assembled the card and lastly added a stamped sentiment with foam tape

TIP - when embossing with a Border EF add a thick card shim to even the pressure through the Cuttlebug so you don't get unwanted lines from the EF
