Two Floral Cards

 Here I am again, at the end of the month, and have hardly shared any cards... just simply 'slack'

With my first card,  I've used the colours at the Just Add Ink challenge #654

Stamped the floral image off the edge (Power Poppy- Countryside Bouquet Deluxe) with grey ink and watercoloured with Distress Inks.  On a stitched die cut label stamped and silver embossed sentiment (from my stash so unsure of make) and attached with foam tape

My second card features double embossing... using an embossing folder (unknown from my stash).  Then masked the centre of the embossed frame and applied Versamark ink and white embossing powder - heat set then smooched with Distress Oxide inks.  Finished with a die cut flower (Sizzix - Wildflower Stems #1), smooched the flowers as well and added a few dots of white Crystal Drops.... and a die cut sentiment (Sizzix - Celebration Words Script).    This card is for the current   Can You Handle the Pressure challenge

 stamped and gold embossed large sentiment, then blended Distress Inks to create a 'spotlight'

I am still making cards....

 Anyone might be lead to believe I've stopped making cards, because crochet has taken over my life..          ....  But I am still stamping and colouring and working away at my desk...  but then seem to have difficulty finishing off my cards and then even posting them when I do.... 

Most of you may have heard of Kaisercraft ... well they had these calendars this year with these gorgeous backgrounds, just perfect for a quick card, so I've been cutting them up

This one is for my youngest sister who turns 60 this weekend (can't believe that, we are getting on).  Chose and nice blue background and simply added a stamped gold embossed sentiment and so sparkly gold birds and a 60.

And two others ...

AND, I did finish off my latest blanket this week.

April Reveal for Card Chain Challenge

 

My card for the April CCC swap went to Patricia in USA.  

 I used the colours and spring/friendship theme

I stamped the wattle image (Flourishes -Bloomin' Aussie Florals) with grey ink and watercoloured with Distress Inks. Repeated this and fussy cut a section to use with foam tape on the top of the card... finished with a stamped and white embossed sentiment (Power Poopy - Simply Camelias)
