Twofer Cards today

Haven't dug into my patterned papers too often of late... but I've put together a card featuring

  'polka dots' for the Just Add Ink challenge #786.  

Combined two green shades of paper and a strip of polka dot embossed card as a background for my stamped, watercoloured and fussy cut flower... finished off with a stamped sentiment strip.


Then I had a play around with my Distress Oxide ink pads  -  swiping the whole pad across the white card - fossilized amber top to bottom, then crushed olive bottom up, followed by peeled paint ---  I like the 'wispy' effect achieved.  Then I used the same inks to swipe card and die cut some foliage and finished with a stamped and clear embossed sentiment.   Joining in the technique challenge over at Group of Cardmakers - Direct to Paper Inking

And with Inks it's all to do with Week 1 ...  'I' = Inks with Darnell's IDEAS Prompt...

    Two awesome cards Robyn. Love the combination of patterned papers on the first card. They look lovely together, especially with your beautiful flower. Awesome direct to paper inking card.     These cards are both so pretty Robyn and the hibiscus flower is beautiful over the lovely papers, and your direct to paper inked background makes a wonderful backdrop to your super leaves.
