Tea - a hug in a cup

It's time again for the Coffee Lovers Summer Bloghop.... all things coffee, tea or chocolate - I enjoy them all.  So to give my card a summer feel I chose this summery field of flowers as my background - totally cheated with a pic from a magazine.  Then I stamped and coloured my teacup with Brushos and fussy cut it. To finish I added a sentiment tag from the same Kaisercraft stamp set inked in Kaleidacolours variegated ink.  Big thanks to the team and all the fabulous sponsors for hosting this bloghop....
I am also joining in with the Stamplorations 4th Birthday and linking to their Wishlist Linky Party - pop over and join in the celebrations - well done Shery and the team, lots of yummy new stuff. Cheers and thanks for taking a peek

Cup of Cheer

A bright cheery Spring card for the latest Coffee Lovers Bloghop - Spring Edition.
I am so out of the swing of things with my card making lately ... just a few other things going on in our lives at the present ... but it was nice to find some time to make a card for this 'hop' - appropriate maybe as it is Easter.  I used my Brushos on these stamped images - I think it says it all simply ... just need to find a quiet spot to enjoy a cuppa.  Have a lovely Easter and thanks for stopping by

Take Time to Smell the Coffee

PrintI am so enjoying my Robert Timms coffee bag mug while I write up this post. I'm playing along again with the Coffee Lovers Bloghop - Spring challenge with my latest card.  I stamped, coloured and fussy cut the cup and spoon and cut up a coffee paper napkin I acquired along the way. The hardest part was deciding the sentiment as I don't have any coffee related stamps....but then I came up with the stamp and welllaaa!! it works for me. I distress inked the edges and stamped on a few coffee rings and 3D mounted the cup.
Thanks for taking a peek Robyn....now off to enjoy the rest of my coffee.

Things are always better with Coffee

I haven't made too many cards recently with other things occupying my time and the pressure is on as we leave Sunday for Christmas with our family...and I still wanted to play along with Virginia's View challenge #10 - All Things Distressed. So after a big tidy up this morning I got the mojo happening and with inspiration also from the Coffee Lovers Bloghop I have made this card.  I've used a Flourishes stamp and water coloured it with my Distress Inks - I love using them as you can dilute them down or use them straight or mix colours to suit and then until they dry you're never sure how they'll come out. I added some Dimensional Magic to the coffee mug and some glitter glue to the steam.  Then I mounted them on colour matching layers of card and designer paper and distressed all the edges, wrapped a few strands of cream wool and used foam tape to lift the image.  Then I used bits of a number of stamps to create the sentiment.  I'm quite happy with the card and pleased I'm making something other than Christmas.
Thanks for taking a peek, Robyn

Let's Catch Up

Today I'm playing along with a new blog Cutscropscreativity who are holding a Coffee Lovers Bloghop to celebrate Happy National Coffee Day. I've had this stamp also for a very long time, secondhand actually but  I found it too busy to use up toll now so following along with the NBUS notion, I've inked and coloured it in, layered it to try and brighten the sad colouring I did and then added a tied on sentiment tag.  Over at Inkspirational they are having a Beverages/Drinks theme challenge so I am posting this there also.
Thanks for taking a peek, be quick to join in the fun Robyn
