Christmas is Love....

A quick Christmas card to get the mojo going.... a Christmas embossing folder gives a great background panel, for a die cut poinsettia... cut from green, maroon and gold metallic card, used a scarp of the gold metallic to stamped and emboss the sentiment and arranged the elements with some gold twine.   I am playing along with Just Add Ink #473 -  chose metallic and twine as my two elements  ....   And used the layout at CAS(E) this Sketch #338.   Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy card making

Sending Birthday Wishes You Way

Another card to finish this afternoon.... I stamped the image in the corner in grey ink and used watercolour pencils to colour it.  Stamped and silver embossed the sentiment and trimmed to fit a white card.  I used Pink and Purple colour palette for the Addicted to CAS challenge #167  .... and also to ....   Stamplorations CAS Card Summer challenge  ....   and Stamplorations Never Ending Anything Goes challenge.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy stamping.

Wishing you a Special Day

With some time up my sleeve now to finish and post a few card.... this pretty floral I stamped in grey ink and coloured with watercolur pencils.  I die cut a window in a card front and positioned the image in the top corner after I stamped a silver embossed my sentiment.  To finish the card I added a die cut acetate butterfly from a pack I won ...it's gorgeous and shiny and just the right matching colors.  I am playing along with Watercooler Wednesday WWC237 - Michelle's Feminine "Anything Goes" challenge  ....   and Addicted to Stamps and More #357 challenge - Make Your Mark.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy stamping

CAS Stencil September challenge

Welcome to
and this month Julia would like us to use Baby Wipes with our Stencils.
Why not pop over to the blog and check out the fabulous inspiration from
the Design Team girls and join in the fun.

I love to use Baby Wipes to add colour to my cards - dry ones mostly.... and I've found wrapping one around an old piece of sponge works really well...just mind you don't have any creases in the wipe.
So I selected this floral stencil and carefully masked off areas on my white panel as I didn't want to use the whole stencil --- I used Distress Inks in Shaded Lilac and Seedless Preserves for the flowers and Shabby Shutters for the leaves.... the open centers of the flowers were a bit bland so I flipped the stencil and used Mustard Seed on the centers only and pressed this onto the card... I love how it turned out all spotty.  Of course then when I checked out the panel I wasn't as careful as I planned and had a couple of slight smudges - darn!! - I thought to flip the panel and start again, instead I just trimmed around the stenciling I'd done and created a corner.  I found in my stash a leftover frame from a previous die cut and attached that to the front of a white card.  To finish I stamped and gold embossed my sentiment and attached my stencil piece.

Julia has provided some helpful advise on techniques using baby wipes, we would love to see your card creations, remember to keep your cards Clean and Simple.
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy card making.

A small slip....

Missed the bottom step this morning.... broke the Fibula, feeling dumb more than in pain
and having a good old laugh as my mum (88) is just back on her feet after the same thing happened to her in June.   So I'll be a bit restricted to upstairs for 6 or so weeks - lucky my craft room is there.

Snowman

I just love the colours in the Christmas Kickstart header   -- challenge #18 Get a Head-er Start .... and decided to paint my own snowman - using Distress Inks.... then luckily I had some matching card stock to frame the image piece onto a white card.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy Christmas card making!

We meet no ordinary people in our lives....

For my August Card Chain Challenge swap I sent Gail in Norway this card.... I used the colour palette, twine for my string pulls and friendship theme.  I did some mini string pulls in the three colours using Distress Oides and added a strip to the bottom with the stamp sentiment.  Then I attached my fussy cut stamped images with foam tape, which I watercoloured with the three colours.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy stamping and why not join in the fun swap at CCC.

Happy Birthday

Recently I have thoroughly enjoyed using watercolour pencils to colour my images and have used them on this jug of tulips stamped image...I die cut the panel with a torn edge die and decided to go with blue as my card and a navy piece to add interest and bring out the colour in the blue jug.  To finish I added a stamped and silver embossed sentiment.  I am playing along with Seize the Birthday #173 and the Toppings option - Square Card  ....    and also to Addicted to Stamps and More #356 challenge - Anything Goes.
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy stamping
