'Tis the Season

This little white embossed on metallic blue bauble has been waiting in my stash for me to be inspired to use it.... so when I saw Jill's tag (below) on Day 25 of 25 Days of Christmas Tags, I just had to make a bauble tag.  I used a part of a die cut border as the hanging part of the bauble and decorated it with a few gems.  Then I found this piece of white embossed card, a strip of green card and a mini sentiment and to finish off the tag a matching spotty ribbon.  Thanks for taking a peek

Vintage ATC

Today I tried my hand at some Mixed Media on an ATC I'm swapping with a friend and have decided to post it to the Stamplorations - ARTplorations Mixed Media November challenge.
I used some floral designer paper as my background and stamped on some musical notes, and the word Vintage.  Then I found some old bird postage stamps and chose one to pop in the top corner,  I used my stencil to add some wavy lines to it. I die cut a bird cage in brown card and dabbed over Picket Fence Distress Ink and after I positioned it I used coloured texture paste and a stencil to add a leafy branch. Next I stamped my bird image and coloured it with Distress Inks and fussy cut it. I added a handmade flower to the branch and layered the ATC on a green background card.  Thanks for taking a peek

Christmas Wishes

Have to agree with Gill at 52 (Christmas) Card Throwdown..... wow it's the end of November, where has the year gone.  Anyway for this weeks she would like us to dig into our stash and use glitter on our card.  This is definitely a 'from my stash piles' card... all the pieces are from my stash....the background was created with sponging through a stencil and was just waiting for me to find this silver embossed Christmas label.  I stamped a pink flourish in the corners of my background to tie in  with the label image and fussy cut the label. Then I found this glittery wrapping ribbon in my stash to hold my label and tie in with the grey stencil sponging.  To finish my card I added a few gems.  Thanks for taking a peek

We Wish You a Merry Christmas

oh dear!!!  we are sooo close to the end of November - now the rush to get all those Christmas cards in the post ... and still I can't help myself but make one more.
Today my card is "PINK" for the Power & Spark challenge over at Power Poppy.
I created the pink background by using a dry baby wipe and Spun Sugar Distress Ink on wood-grain card stock - I like to see how inks react on different card - well it work well, then I gave it a light spray with Perfect Pearls mist - it gathered in the creases.  Then I stamped my sentiment and stocking image and embossed in silver.  I fussy cut the stocking and coloured it with Distress Inks.  I found two decorative square frames in my stash and positioned them to display my images.  I decided to add a silver embossed edge to my sentiment and added a few sequins to finish.  Thanks for taking a peek

Be merry

Merry Monday #223 have a colour theme for their challenge this week - Light Blue, Dark Blue and Pink.... I recently made this tag with a die cut bauble in dark blue. I backed the image with a piece made using shaving cream technique in pink and blue.  I die cut my tag shape in pink and then again in white and left enough card to cut around the negative so I could insert the pink tag...left enough white at the bottom to stamp my sentiment. Tied a bunch of colour threads to the top and 3D mounted it to a white card.  Thanks for taking a peek

Merry Christmas

I have had a busy weekend finishing off some cards which I put together from my stash of pre-stamped images and sentiment, and backgrounds.  This background was made when I decided to see how a puddle of gold reinker would look squashed between two pieces of card stock - then I dabbed it over with a scrunched plastic bag.  I flicked blue Twinkling H2Os over it to co-ordinate with the blue bauble.  The bauble image is white embossed on metallic blue card. I made the bauble topper by die cutting one end of a tag label die. I mounted my gold embossed sentiment on blue and hung my bauble with gold twine.  All of this gold suits well with the challenge over at City Crafters - Week 339 - Gold Finger.  Thanks for taking a peek

Merry Christmas tag

On Day 14 of  25 Days of Christmas Tags, Daria made a funky Christmas tree tag - so I was inspired to use this stamped tree image image from my pre-stamped stash. It was pretty plain so I dressed it up with a matching background tag, some star sequins and glittery spots of snow. Then I finished off with a silver embossed stamped sentiment and tied the two tags together with some fabulous threads. Thanks for taking a peek

Merry Christmas tag

I have made a round shaker tag inspired by Shannon's tag  (below) on Day 24 of   25 Days of Christmas Tags.  I stamped a string of ornaments on the background, added some mini sequins and topped with cellophane and scalloped die cut frame. I stamped my bird on a scrap of Brushos background and also a mini sentiment and 3D attached them to my tag. .... it all looked a bit lost so I added another circle of red card to frame it all.  Thanks for taking a peek
