The Shabby Tea Room challenge #76

Today my friend Vikki suggested we try the Sweet Days of Summer challenge. I just loved the colours of the picture and I haven't made a floral card for ages so I was rapt. I used my punches to make these flowers - the larger ones are using the Nellie Snellen punch and emboss sets and the smaller ones with the Martha Stewart punch. Hope you like my take on this....I'm very happy. Thanks again for taking a peek this weekend

Mojo 205

Hello stamping addicts, here we are again on a Saturday sharing our Mojomonday cards...this week the recipe was a bit to 'fussy' for me but it's always a challenge to interpret it to your own liking...so I'm pretty pleased with how mine turned out. Thanks for taking a peek...

Crazy 4 Challenges C4C101, RobVik #14

Wow I really like the C4C challenge this week, there might even be a few more cards out of it for me.....this challenge is called BINGO
and I've chosen the top line - square card, embossing and brads for this bright card and also combined it with our RobVik challenge to use black, grey and lime green...it's a fun card. Have a great creative weekend everybody.

Crazy 4 Challenges C4C100

I'm spending my Saturday skyping with my friend Vikki as usual....and have attemped the monochromatic challenge set by the crazy 4 challenges ladies.  I had this stamped on gloss card butterfly just waiting to be used so I painted it up with my twinkling H2Os and here it is...... thanks for having a peek!!!

Mojo 204

Hello happy stampers...yes that's right it's Friday (TGIF), yippee only the weekend ahead with no plans at all for me. This gorgeous butterfly was from my stash of prestamped images and it just hovered around my desk all week landing on the right shades of card as I rifled through the drawers. No words on this one, quite often I don't put word till I'm ready to use the card...glad you stopped by for a peek.

Our Creative Corner - fruit as inspiration, House Mouse challenge #102

Oh yes, it's strawberry season here in Australia, oh and they are cheap again in the supermarket this week...yeeessssssss!!.  So anyway I was searching for fruit inspiration and came across this prestamped house mouse, so cute and with strawberries it just suited this challenge well. I'm on a roll this week...got to keep busy as the hubby is away again - 10 days this time....mmm...how many cards can that be??
Here's the link to OCC if you'd like to join in the fun..
and
thank you Rosey for inviting me to share my card with the House Mouse bloggers and their challenge this week - Let's get fruity...

Less is More challenge: week 28 ... another card

I was so inspired by all the cards on this weeks Less is More challenge - I just had to make another but being true to the recipe... folded white card, one layer and mostly white - thanks for the advice Mandi. This style is really me and I can see more Christmas cards along these lines.....now I hope.

Less is More challenge: week 28

For this challenge the girls at Less is More asked for a card using one layer and to use ink pads - well mine isn't truly one sheet folded in half -I used gloss card and rather than make the whole card from gloss I mounted my creation on plain white cardstock. I used a sponge pad with my Twinkling H2O's to swipe the colour for the background and then stamped my image and words on...I love sunsets!!

Crazy 4 Challenges C4C99

Well I certainly woke up this morning with a crazy idea....the C4C challenge was to make a Shape it up card.....one away from the normal, rectangle/square shape...so here's my soda glass party invite card - representing the Aussie Spider (soft drink with ice cream added) - mine's a pink lemonade spider.  I embossed a sheet of acetate and lined it with pink card and embossed froth topped it with a 3D flamingo to which I attached a small long spoon (didn't have any straws!!). I had fun making it and it was interesting to see how well the acetate embossed. Have a super week, thanks for taking a peep.

Fathers' Day Cards

With Fathers' Day coming up here in Australia, I'm happy to have my two cards made....not too imaginative when it comes to male cards and must say I'm limited with my stamps...the old Holden Ute is from my stash of pre-stamped images :)

Mojo 203, RobVik #12, Our Creative Corner

Whoopee - Three challenges in one, and finished on a Friday!! yeah!!!
That gorgeous autumn leaf for the RobVik challenge was my inspiration this week and with the OOC challenge
http://ourcreativecorner6.blogspot.com/2011/08/oh-flowers.html , asking you to use these beautiful spring flowers BUT no flowers on your card, this leaf came instantly to my mind, and the Mojo layout just happened to suit everything - you can guess I'm happy with my finished card. I gave the main autumn leaf a glossy finish with Dimensional Magic and again used some micro beads..... I do love autumn. Thanks for taking a peek.

Our Creative Corner - Red and Aqua challenge, Mojo 202

Here we are again enjoying a quiet weekend at my craft desk while hubby is away enjoying himself playing golf. Today I've created a card for two challenges - the usual and much enjoyed Mojo challenge and a Red and Aqua theme for Our Creative Corner - http://ourcreativecorner6.blogspot.com/2011/07/red-and-aqua-color-challenge_30.html - pop along and check out the super cards the ladies make at this blog.
This one is a bit of fun with the snazzy shoe as the focus - way to high for my feet, I go for comfort nowdays.
Thanks for having a peep, enjoy your weekend too :)
Now to add some more cards to my Christmas stack.....

Mojo 201

Well that was a close call...wasn't sure I'd get my card posted on Mojo this weekend.....we have had visitors and lucky for I'd been working on my card during the week and just needed to put it all together today. Another Christmas card to all to my pile...I am pleased it is growing but this week I have two birthday cards to make, maybe the new Mojo will help :-)  Have a great week and thanks for checking out my cards.
