RobVik challenges - 16 and 18

Well this card just evolved...not sure where it came from it's so dark and so not me, but I do like the colours and thanks Vikki for suggesting the designer card we had on hand. We found these colours on the net and the card recipe is an old Less is More. Thanks for taking a peek.

Crazy 4 Challenges C4C101, RobVik #14

Wow I really like the C4C challenge this week, there might even be a few more cards out of it for me.....this challenge is called BINGO
and I've chosen the top line - square card, embossing and brads for this bright card and also combined it with our RobVik challenge to use black, grey and lime green...it's a fun card. Have a great creative weekend everybody.

Mojo 203, RobVik #12, Our Creative Corner

Whoopee - Three challenges in one, and finished on a Friday!! yeah!!!
That gorgeous autumn leaf for the RobVik challenge was my inspiration this week and with the OOC challenge
http://ourcreativecorner6.blogspot.com/2011/08/oh-flowers.html , asking you to use these beautiful spring flowers BUT no flowers on your card, this leaf came instantly to my mind, and the Mojo layout just happened to suit everything - you can guess I'm happy with my finished card. I gave the main autumn leaf a glossy finish with Dimensional Magic and again used some micro beads..... I do love autumn. Thanks for taking a peek.

RobVik #13

Hi card makers, this weekend I have made a RobVik challenge card - white on white. It bothers me that the embossing folders are a bit short for the size cards we make so I have covered the join with folded ribbon. I've just realised too that this is my first card without any stamping on it!!

Mojo 199, RobVik #8

Hi fellow card makers, I'm early this week ...as hubby and I are off to Exmouth where he is playing golf for the weekend.... and I will be veging totally not even cooking meals!!
I really enjoyed this weeks Mojo and finally used the last of my green patterned card stock Vikki gave me for our challenge #8. It's a bit ...what...whimsical or something - first time I've added a die cut bird....I think he's cute. Have an enjoyable and creative weekend all, cya next week.

Mojo 198, Scrapbook Boutique challenge, RobVik #10

This photo is soooo sad, the colours are really much nicer - Purple, Lavender and White for the Scrapbook Boutique challenge - http://scrapbookboutiquenews.blogspot.com/
and also for this weeks Mojo 198. This week I have included some more microbeads and a flower trinket from my stash and I'm quite happy with my first card. My second card uses the Mojo layout too and also the colours Vikki picked for RobVik challenge #10 - Peach, Green and Blue - I painted the shell with my Twinkling H2O's and found a shell charm in my stash. Thanks for taking a peep.

Mojo 197, RobVik # 8

So much for my walk this morning, came to my desk early this morning and there was my card in pieces just waiting for me to put it all together....so here it is. I like this weeks Mojo - simple layout. And this also incorporates the card Vikki gave me for our #8 RobVik challenge. It's the reverse side of my previous card (Sunday 19th) and so presents a totally different feel. I've added brown as my coordinating ribbon had browns spots and I'm pretty happy with the finished card. But stay tuned as I still have piece of that patterned card left :-) ........thanks for taking a look.

RobVik #9, Centre step construction card and variations

RobVik challenge #9
Hello fellow crafters, from Karratha where we are enjoying some really lovely weather; crisp, clear mornings around 15C and sunny, breezy days of 28C.
I had a wonderful Saturday skyping with Vikki and Estelle who had a sleepover stamping and scrapbooking weekend in Townsville. It was a very productive event for me as I made 7 cards. Firstly my RobVik #9 using some papers that I gave to Vikki - it started off nothing like the finished card which I'm happy with. Then I got into the construction card Vikki had seen on the Split Coaster site and ended up making 4 Christmas cards to add to my growing pile. Basically this weekend I picked up papers and stamped images from my desk as a base to start my card creations. Thanks for visiting, enjoy your week.

Mojo 195, RobVik #7

Hello from my desk here on this gorgeous Saturday. I'm quite happy with my Mojo card this week - it's a male card, probably for my father-in-law's birthday next month. Anyway I'm sure there's no fish in the sea/river with these colourings so I'm calling it a red finned trout - to suit the colours of the card Vikki supplied for our RobVik #7 challenge. I'm liking the colours and the designer card so much I'm going to make four cards from it....so call back to check them out. Enjoy your weekend too whatever you're up to!!

Ok, so here are my four cards from the same card stock Vikki gave me - I wasn't sure at first about the colour combination but the card above shows the cherry red and dark pumpkin orange really well. I am pretty happy with them all and have enjoyed skyping with Vikki again. Thanks for having a look and enjoy your week.

RobVik #6 and Mojo 192

Hello card making friends, I enjoyed a productive Saturday making cards this week - I do so enjoy my Saturdays while my hubby plays golf I stamp, colour, cut, paste - all round have a wonderful time uninterrupted - this I've been sharing with friend Vikki while we skype in on each others desk. Our RobVik challenge #6 was to use Green, Grey and Black and I incorporated that with this weeks Mojo and I am rather pleased with the result - hope you like it too. I also added six cards to my pile for Christmas - thanks for takin' a peek.

RobVik #5 and JUGS70 and Mojo 191

Afternoon friends.....I've had a busy week, with stock-take at work so it was wonderful to just spend the afternoon making cards. Thanks again to Vikki for her company and encouragement. Here are my three cards I made today. Our RobVik challenge was to use colours - navy, olive, yellow, craft and white. And I thought the Mojo this week definitely called for a Christmas card - so I've made two. Thanks for visiting.....

Mojo 190, Verve challenge May week 2, RobVik #4

Hi there this week, and here's my card.
Although technically it only has words stamped on it, my card came together because as I was cleaning up my craft area on Friday I came across this trading card a friend had given me and I really do like it so decided to recycle it and make it the center of my card - It's a print of an old photo that has had the edges coloured and then a thin layer of wax on top. I'm pretty happy with the result. Enjoy your week, happy card making.....

For this card I used the Verve May week 2 recipe and the colours Vikki chose for our RobVik #4 challenge - shades of pink, aqua and brown
I'm very happy with the result although to begin with I was left wondering what to use as a tag - made one up myself with my corner punches - thanks Vikki.

RobVik #3 and Mojo 73 and JUGS83

For this RobVik challenge I mailed Vikki these papers and card, we both loved the colours but still found it interesting to put together as we didn't want to cover up the patterned paper. Vikki has a lovely card on Mojo 189, thumbnail 182 and I scanned through the archived Mojo sketches to help me...the true colours are not as dark as the photo. Thanks for having a look :-)

JUGS83
I like these colours a lot so decided to use my leftover papers to make another card using the JUGS recipe.

RobVik #2

For this challenge we had to use four colours; navy, blue, orange and sand - similar to colours my local Stampin Up friend had used.  I'm quite pleased with the result with my aim recently to include lots more stamping and embellishments I have in my stash...this one I used eyelets and micro beads.

Mojo 187 and RobVik #1

My friend Vikki suggested we do a purple, sage and yellow colour scheme for a card and I was struggling with the layout, then up pop the new MojoMonday - perfect, it just bought it all together. Hope you like it..
