Christmas, the Sweet Stop Sketch, Winterwonderland Challenges

Morning from windy Karratha. I just felt like making a card this morning so nothing else is done...dishes still in the sink <grin>. I've used the Sweet Stop blog sketch SSS160 and am also posting it on the Winterwonderland challenge  -  "Sing a Song" which requires the card to including singing.!! Thanks for taking a peek

Christmas, Less is More

Hi blog visitors....very slow today, and finding it hard to grasp my mojo - possibly has something to do with working a full week (not part time as I usually do) and having to stocktake the whole store and reserves - anyway now at least it's over for another 12 months.  I do really need to make my aunt an 80th birthday card so thought I might get a boost by having a go at this weeks Less is More challenge #69 to make a card that's not square or rectangle...so I've used one of my dies to make a frame for this Christmas bear. Thanks for taking peek

Christmas, Freshly Made Sketches #35

How do you like my little Scarlet Cardinal....was wondering what sort of embellishment I could add finish off this card and the cheekly little cardinal seemed a little different.  I've found another new sketches challenge blog -Freshly Made Sketches, and used it to base my card on - I'm not ever really sure about these triple panel cards but Karen's card from Altered Scrapbooking helped me along..thank you Karen.  Thanks for taking a peek....see you next week.

Christmas, Sketchbook Saturday Challenge 60

Morning all, here's my second card for today...my mojo is flowing and I think I'm realising the urgency of getting on with my Christmas card....thankfully all the sketch challenges are lending themselves to Christmas cards. Here I've used the sketch from Random Acts of Creativity - Sketchbook Saturday. I really do like this sketch and think it would make a great birthday card...one with flowers of course.  Thanks for taking a peek

Christmas, Merry Monday #20

Yesterday I found this new (to me) blog challenge over at Always Playing with Paper - Merry Monday Challenge #20 to help me along with my Christmas card stash.  I really like this layout and quite pleased with the earthy colours from my MME Lost & Found Christmas paperpad and how it turned out. Thnaks for taking a peek

Christmas, The Sweet Stop Sketch

Oh thank you, thank you blog challenges for your sketches today, they've all helped with my card stash.  Here I've used the Sweet Stop Sketch SSS159, with a spin - to also use ruffles. Thanks for taking a peek.

Christmas, Deconstructed Sketch

Here's my fourth Christmas card for the day using the Deconstructed Sketch #52 - I coloured this bauble with my twinkling H2Os and had to mix the colours to get some variety...it worked ok.  Thanks for taking a peek.

Christmas, Our Creative Corner

I seem to be on a roll today...although Vikki and I are experiencing a lot of trouble with Skype.  I was pleased to see a sketch challenge with Our Creative Corner this week and as my cards are it's good to see my card stack growing. I've just made to challenge post in time but I do like this sketch so will be making a few more with different papers.  Thanks for taking a peek.

Christmas, CardPatterns: Sketch 165

Well this Christmas card is using really weird non traditional colours...using the wreath patterned paper as the base colours - it's one of those sheets out of a pad that is really difficult to match. I used the Card Patterns sketch 165 for my layout...I'm not sure I'm that happy with the finished card-anyway thanks for taking a peek

Christmas card, MojoMonday 241

A quickie Christmas card I finished off this morning to add to my pile....it's been growing very slowly of late so my focus is to use as my challenges to add to that in the next 4 weeks. This one is an inverted version of the MojoMonday 241. Thanks for taking a peek.

Waltzingmouse Sketch, i(heart)sketches, Male cards

WMSC97

 may2012sketch
These top two Birthday card were made quite quickly as I needed to get them in the mail and so having a sketch for inspiration is a big help. My first card I made using the Waltzingmouse Sketch WMSC97 using some blockish colours and a bit of embossing. The second using the  i(heart)2stamp - May sketch with a bit more colour and a page out of an old dictionary....the photos don't do them justice.
The last card is for a friends 60th...didn't have any chipboard numbers so decided to wish him a belated 59th just before his big six zero. Thanks for taking a peek.

Design Seeds, Sketchbook Saturday challenge #58

Well this card turned out to be a bit of fun -so bright and cheery using the Design Seeds - succulent colours and I based it on Chuppas last week Sketchbook Saturday challenge design #58. Thanks for taking a peek

MojoMonday #240, Christmas

I started this Christmas card yesterday with a striped scrap I had on my desk - non traditional and used this weeks MojoMonday #240 for the design layout.....bit different. Thanks for taking a peek

the Deconstructed Sketch 51

Hi there on this quiet Saturday..hubby is away playing golf so I have free run to do whatever....oh of course that  is spending so Skype time with my friend Vikki making cards.  We've been cruising sites and found these wonderful colours at  Design Seeds, we picked one each to try and I combined the Eggplant colours with the Deconstructed Sketch 51 to make this card....brown earthy shades are definitely not me but I'm pretty happy with the result.  Thanks for taking a peek.
