Thinking of You

I'm back with a reminder to join in the new CAS Stencil challenge
- the January technique is Sponging.
and the challenge closes 24 January......
need some inspiration, then pop over to the CAS Stencil blog and check out the awesome cards the design team have created - go and visit their blogs too and read how they made them.

Believe me it's a challenge too for the DT and so I decided for this inspiration to go with something very simple and easy to create - just lightly sponged stripes as a background for a mini feature and sentiment - keeps it very CAS.
I only have a stencil with stripes 1 cm apart so I laid the stencil over the stripes already sponged, centered them and sponged another set making sure to fade out to irregular edges.
Next I stamped my rose, watercoloured it and fussy cut it out, and all I needed now was my stamped sentiment.
Mind you I got carried away sponging and stamping and made a few more cards......

A sigh of excitement - my first month with this new CAS Stencil challenge and the nerves are settling - I want to thank Loll for inviting me to join this amazing group of talented ladies and looking forward to experimenting and showcasing Stencils which are a relatively new thing for me - come along and join us - share your CAS creations and have some fun.
Well I was having so much fun, I have since made two more with the striped stenciled background....

  3. What a beautiful set of cards Robyn! I love your light stenciling - you see it and then it fades out of sight - so pretty! Your sweet little glass vases are so pretty layered over the stenciling!

  4. Beautiful series of cards Robyn, the light stencilled stripes co-ordinate so well with the flowers and vases. Seeing them all together they would make a gorgeous set as a gift, the recipient would want to keep them all though! Cathy x

  5. I can tell you were having fun Robyn!! :) Great design! So clever to make that striped stencil work by double sponging. Each of the cards is so pretty and perfectly CAS. You are making amazing cards to inspire ... thank you!! So happy you are on the team Robyn. Have to mention the poached egg flower in your photo. I tried to grow those one year ... no success :( xx

  8. Great to continue and make more cards when the supplies are out. Your cards are adorable and CAS perfection and love how you did the subtle sponging through the stencil and how you used them twice. Fabulous inspiration, thank you and I agree with Bonnie x.
