Dear Friend

Well I wasn't into the movie hubby was watching so decided to do some blog snooping and visiting Darnell's lovely blog I immediately decided to join in a new challenge - Pixie's Snippets Playground - this weeks challenge #344,  because I have stacks of snippets and it didn't take me long to put this card together.  I had on my desk the background panel made with the reverse sponged stencil (that's when you sponge over the stencil and then have ink everywhere so you flip it onto card with a slight water spray and presto you have another background). Remembered seeing the stamped and embossed and fussy cut floral in my stash, so hauled that out and then the sentiment, just needed a trim and to help the floral pop, magically I had a circle frame and a light aqua die cut circle to add behind it...done. I'll be back to Pixie's because this year that's been my plan - use up my stashes.
I also used the sketch at The Paper Players PP426, and am joining with Addicted to Stamps and More #326 - Anything Goes.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it,  - happy card making.

ps on the side Darnell has arranged a Thank You Di Blog Hop to celebrate Di's seventh anniversary at Pixie's Playground and I'm joining in...

  5. Hi Robyn - what a fabulous card. I love the paisley look and such pretty colours as well!

I'm delighted you came to join us in the Playground (as well as joining in with Darnell's blog hop - which totally surprised me and I've shed quite a few tears of happiness at all the love!).

Now, you say you would like to play for the prize but you live overseas. That is absolutely NO problem Robyn - I always post, for free, prizes to winners wherever they live. We have playmates literally joining in from all over the world. No-one from the Amazon Basin - YET! :)

Do come back and play again - Sunday sees a new challenge begin with a fresh prize. I do only allow one entry per person per fortnight - just to keep a nice level playing field. And always ask that folk say if they're playing for the prize on offer - purely as in the past a couple of winners said they'd been just playing for fun (which is absolutely fine, the more the merrier!) - but of course I had to do the draws all over again etc. etc.

    See you on the swings!

    Hugs

    Di xx

That beautiful inked background is my favorite color and I love how you just let it take center stage and only added a lovely bit of a brooch off to the side with a lovely sediment! Great design!!
