Lots of hugs

Today I have finished putting together a card using a digital image featuring a strawberry cupcake..yum!! with a to go Coffee Latte - my favourite.  I used the sketch at Power Poppy Creative Confetti, the theme at Stamplorations Theme and Sketch May challenge, and Shopping our Stash #39 challenge - Get Your Drink On.   Printed my image and used watercolour pencils to colour it and added some dimension with crystal drops and silver gel pen.  I found some suitable DP and a contrast card and trimmed to the sketch.  To finish I added a stamped sentiment tag.  I am also posting to Stamplorations Never Ending Anything Goes challenge.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it, happy card making.

Merry Christmas

End of the month, wow where did that go, today I have a Christmas card for Maureen's May Rudolph Days challenge and Christmas Kickstart challenge #11 - Christmas Kids.
I have a snowglobe stamp and thought that perfect for kids so stamped and silver embossed it and cut out the center, coloured the base and lined it with clear acetate.  Then on the card front I stamped and silver embossed some stars and waterwashed with blue DI.  Next I stamped my Santa and tree, coloured them and cut them out and arranged them in position on the card.  I cut a sheet of foam to fit the panel and die cut a circle for the globe.  To finish I stamped a few snowflakes attached one large die cut glittery one and my die cut sentiment..... filled some glitter and tiny silver flakes for the shaker part and attached the front.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy Christmas card making.

Hello ATC

Don't you just love it when an idea pops into your head and you have all the elements...I was actually looking for a telephone but unsuccessful and then there just popped up the typewriter... which for me is even better because it's so special these days to get a simple 'hello' letter in the mail.
So I stamped the image twice and fussy cut the typewriter and lightly coloured it. Stamped my sentiment and cut it to size and lightly colour that. Sponged some colour over the background and attached to a maroon card and to finish attached my die cut my Hello -cut twice and offset.  I am playing along with Happy Little Stampers May ATC challenge - Hello.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy stamping.

Love and Best WIshes

A bit of a redesign for a one layer card been sitting on my desk for a bit...not liking it, just too flat... so I decided to cut it up and frame it with a stitched die cut panel, trim down the sentiment and attach with foam tape and to finish a couple of die cut butterflies with a touch of glitter glue.  Looks a lot better and I'm playing along with Double 'D' challenge - Frames and Stamplorations Blog Hop and Linky Party - Things with Wings.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy card making.

Birthday Wishes

Enjoying a very lazy day today... that means I've not done any housework, instead I've been pottering at my desk. I have a birthday card made for two challenges.... first for the 5th Birthday celebrations at AAA Cards - congrats ladies, great inspiration from the DT    and   secondly at Stamplorations CAS Card challenge - Anything Goes with the Optional Colour Twist - Lilac.
I stamped my sweet peas on a die cut stitched rectangle and used both Distress Inks and Oxides to watercolour it.  Then stamped and gold embossed my sentiment.  I thought to add a  little shimmer so sponged Versamark over the Stamplorations Lupinus stencil and brushed over with Interference Gold Perfect Pearls.  I chose to add a purple layer to frame the panel onto a white card.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy stamping.

Birthday Wishes

All week I've been thinking about a green card for The Rainbow Card challenge #5 - Gorgeous Green.... it's not a colour I easily go to, but with Mothers' Day recently and the shops full of potted orchids, I was inspired to use this stamp and go green.   I stamped the image in light green DI and watercoloured the image with Distress Inks... I did leave the card panel in place in my Misti and then re-stamped over the top with darker DI.  Trimmed the panel and silver embossed my sentiment, then used a lime green to frame the panel onto a darker green card.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it, happy stamping.

Just because.....

So today my card is inspired by the Power Poppy Creative Confetti challenge - Go Big and Bold!
I stamped the floral image three times on my panel and then onto a scrap. I used Distress Inks to watercolour it and fussy cut it out. Then I chose the two flower colours in card and attached strips to one side and positioned the cut out over the same image on the background.  To finish I stamped my sentiment and clear embossed it, then cut around it and attached to the card with foam tape.
I am also playing along with Watercooler Wednesday WWC222 - Helen's "All About Occasions" challenge - I make a lot of birthday cards so this "Just because" sentiment means the card can be used for different occasions.  The stamp is from Stamplorations so I am adding it to their Never Ending Anything Goes challenge.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it and happy stamping.

Happy Birthday

Finished off a couple of cards this morning and this one is using a digital image.  After printing the image I used Distress Oxides to watercolour it... the image has a cup so I decided to conceal the cup with an oval and my stamped and silver embossed sentiment.  I trimmed the panel to a square, added a light green layer, tied on a ribbon and to finish a few sequins.  I am playing along with Power Poppy Creative Confetti challenge - With a Roll of the Dice.... using No 5 - Tie one on. The image  is from Stamplorations so I'm adding it to the Never Ending Anything Goes challenge.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy card making.

Happy Birthday

Have you got one of those stamps that seemed like a good idea when you bought it and then it proved more of a challenge to use... so this Frangipani one falls into that spot and has only been used once  I stamped the image in Versamark on maroon card and clear embossed it... then sponged white pigment ink over it.... and when I thought it was dry buffed the white from some areas.....so I have pinkish flowers with dark red centers.  I kept it simple and die cut my sentiment three times and stuck them together to lift it off the panel a bit.  Framed my panel in white and used foam sheet to lift it on the white card.  I am happy with the result... but think I'll try this stamp again with white card and yellow ink.  I am playing along with Power Poppy Creative Confetti - Simply Resistible and The Flower Challenge #32 - Embossing (Heat or Dry).  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it, have a wonderful weekend.

Happy Birthday

This morning I have a birthday card using a sketch reversed.. I stamped the lilies in grey ink and used pencils to colour the image.  I don't do green very well so thought to bring out this colour with a green frame and patterned paper, then a strip of pink for the lilies. I used some glitter glue on the dragonfly and water ripples.  I am playing along with a brand new challenge at AAA Birthday Card challenge #1- Anything Goes and Power Poppy Creative Confetti - Sketch It Out challenge.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it, happy card making
