Birthday Wishes


Yipppeee it's been raining ....  and it's cooool

I put together this card with pieces from my stash --  the embossed background where I had smooched Distress Inks onto the flat surface before running through the machine.  My crazy bird was already watercoloured with DI - I added buttons, and hand drew a cap with stitching and coloured with pencils, then attached with foam tape.  The sentiment was stamped on a scrap cut off the background panel and I framed it with black card and raised it with foam tape.
I am playing along with Watercooler Wednesday WWC#259 - Dawn's challenge - Anything Goes with a Masculine Twist   .....    also with The Male Room challenge #130 - Use Embossing    ....    and  Just Add Ink challenge #493 Just Choose Two -  I chose stitching and buttons.

    What an amazing card, Robyn! I love the crazy bird all dressed up in stitched hat and buttoned finery. Love the colours, too, as well as the embossed numbers. This is perfect for kids of all ages, especially boys. Thanks so much for sharing with us for our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

    I love this background with your "super cool" crazy bird! That backwards cap is AWESOME! What a great birthday card for a teenager, or a man (they all think they are still teenagers!). :) xx
