Back today with my finished 'colouring over the sponge stencilwork'

I really loved this technique Kathy shared on Day 1 and it

will be something that I will do in the future....

This is my finished panel using colouring pencils over light brown sponged stencilwork

I did attempt to use a sharp pencil to give lines of depth and it looks cool.

I trimmed the panel to fit my white card base and stamped and gold embossed the sentiment  on a white card strip and attached it with foam tape.

CAS Stencil November challenge

the technique this month is

Stencil Monoprint

I used photographic paper,  an all over floral stencil and Distress Oxides - fired brick, carved  pumpkin and crushed olive - directly applied to the back of the stencil.... then lightly spritzed with water and laid the stencil onto the paper pressing very lightly - then after it was dry wiped the paper with a damp baby wipe to bring up the colours.... I was really pleased with the result of the mono-print...I like the puddles of colour and the fine outline of the petals also the mixed colours - the green mixed in well and you can hardly see it.

I die cut a circle from one section and inked the edge with red ink.  Using a mustard coloured card and a strip of dark red card to add interest I attached the stenciled circle with foam sheet.  And finish off with a black stamped sentiment.

I made a second card with the leftover stenciled paper.... cut a rectangle and framed it with black card onto a square red card... to finished stamped a black embossed the sentiment.

Thanks for Everything

I tried something different with this Thank You card.... using watercolour pencils.  I first stamped my floral stamp onto a damp baby wipe so the surface was just damp and would pick up the colour from the pencil... it worked really well, scribbling over the surface.  I sprayed a very very light mist of water and stamped  the image onto white card, then I gave liberal spray to the stamped image and it moved the watercolour pencil line around, and I blotted it carefully with paper towel.  I die cut a stitched frame in white card and mounted this with foam sheet over the stamped panel and attached to a matching maroon card.  To finish I stamped the sentiment, and fussy cut it and attached with foam tape too.

Daily Marker Colouring challenge - Day 3

My colouring progresses over the sponged brown stenciling from day 1 - I'm liking this idea and love the rustic feel the brown gives to the pencil colours as you add the layers.

Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring challenge - Day 2

Back today with a small project, coloured with my pencils..... stamped the image in grey and the sentiment in black ink ... I'm still staring at this card with soooo much white space, most probably the most I've every achieved.... but I love it... it's for my mum 💗

Just Saying Hello

My card for the October Card Chain Challenge was sent to Arlene in USA.... I used the colour palette and Leaves from the Theme Options.
Stamped my two leaves using a solid stamp and Distress Inks to give a varied effect, then fussy cut them out.  I masked off a strip along the side of the front panel and using a stencil, and DI sponged a leafy border. To finish I stamped the sentiment and attached to a golden yellow card with foam tape under the leaves.

Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring challenge - Day 1

So happy to be joining in with Kathy for the 14th Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring Challenge... I do love to just colour and often will stamp an image and start colouring if my mojo is missing.... lately I've been using colouring pencils and as Kathy says, it's so easy to pick an image and a few pencils to while away the time.
So for Day 1 Kathy shared a technique using stencils.. and even before the end of the video I had my self in action and away we go.... 
next I thought, I'd just share the start and I'll progress over the next days

Happy Birthday

This card has been in my UFO pile for ages and so today I thought to leave it just plain black and white for the Rainbow Card Challenge October - Brazenly Black.
I layered stamped the floral image three times, then cut black card to give each layer a fine border and used a black card.  To finish I attached a black die cut sentiment.
