Happy Birthday

I thought this said it all for my craft space .... but sometimes it may overflow into our living room... how about you??

My card today features white embossing - using Versamark and white EP through a stencil and then blended Distress Oxide ink... I'm wanting to make for as I love how this turned out.
I die cut a daisy and used DO to watercolour it and then white embossed the sentiment on marching aqua blue card.  To finish I used yellow and light aqua card layers that emphasise the daisy.

I am playing along with Just Add Ink challenge #498 - Just Add "E" -  I have used Embossing and an Easter Daisy.

Meeerrrry Christmas

Well I do enjoy a glass of red so after some scrounging through my stamps and stash I found some bits to make this Christmas card for the Christmas Kickstart challenge #29  - Christmas Cheer - AKA - Alcohol!!!!
From my stash I found this 'Crazy Bird' already stamped, coloured and fussy cut also with her Christmas hat perched on her head.... I thought she looked like she'd enjoyed a few reds so I worked my card from there.  Also in the stash was this background.. I think created from Distress Oxide ink smooched onto a stencil, sprayed with water and pressed over white card.  Also in the stash the die cut sentiment in black - think that might have been meant as a shadow layer that didn't get used.  So all I needed was to stamp my wine bottle and glass, colour and fussy cut them... the hardest part was arranging the bits on the background.... finally have her balancing on the sentiment, glass in wing with the rest of the bottle firmly balanced in the 'Merry'.

Recycled Koala

Daring CardmakersLast challenge for March at
 the Daring Cardmakers
and theme is RECYCLE....
Are you like me and save all those yummy packaging and labels, tags and threads??
I do have a smallish stash LOL so it wasn't hard for me to come up with some pieces I'd like to recycle

Don't you just love my Koala mug a gift for last years birthday from my wonderful daughter and family.... wow the box it came in was fabulous... four sides with lovely black and white artwork, so of course I trimmed it up and used one of the panels for todays card...the black card layer is also packaging... I simply added another white layer  and attached to a white square card ... I left off adding a sentiment.

I'm a bit of a tea drinker, love a cuppa while I'm working at my desk or out in the garden.
So recently I discovered this new tea in the supermarket - Vanilla which I really like and what gorgeous packaging... so, yes, I cut it up too and made two cards.

For the first card I trimmed the colourful strip and the black and white dotty lines took my fancy so I drew a frame around a white panel, and stamped my cup, black and white lines to it too and coloured it with pencils before fussy cutting it out.  From my stamp stash I found this sentiment which I thought very appropriate for today's world problems and and trimmed the blue card to a teabag label.

For my second card I trimmed my teabag packaging to make a flower pot and then stamped some whimsical flowers and leaves and drew some black and white dotty stems and fussy cut them all.  I watercoloured the flowers with Distress Oxides and used Salty ocean to sponge around the edge of my white card.  Then attached all the elements to the card and added some die cut flowers (cut from the packaging) and the sentiment was also part of the packaging.

Birthday Wishes

Happy to see you visiting today and hope that all is well at your place as we all try to deal with the changes in our lives at the moment.

Of course I have another floral card today - I love them so much - they always bring a smile to my face with their variety and wonderful shapes and colours.
I used part of a very large stamp, masking off some areas before fitting it to the Misti, then adding the different colours of ink with repeated stamping... finally when I was happy with the colours I lightly spritzed it with water so the colour blended slightly.  Next I fussy cut out the image.  I found some patterned paper in my stash with a pale pink strip to match the pink in the flower... I love that as part of the print it had a lacy doiley.  From the scraps I die cut a stitched rectangle and stamped on my sentiment.  To finish I added a white card frame and foam sheet to attached to a white card and used foam tape to attach the flower and sentiment.

I am playing along with four challenges today --   AAA Birthday #11 challenge - Flowers   ....   Yes, Virginia's Show & Share March challenge    ....   Penny Black Saturday challenge PBSC March - Think Flowers   ...  AND   ....  Double 'D' challenge - Spring.

I stamped and white embossed this poinsettia stamp and watercoloured it with Distress Inks - then fussy cut it out.
For the background I used part of a stencil with Versamark on a white card panel and white embossing powder then blended Distress Oxide Evergreen bough over it.  Then to finish attached the panel to a white card and mounted the flower with foam tape and added a few drops of white Nuvo crystal drops.

Just for You

Daring Cardmakers
Hello and happy Friday... or at least I hope all is well at your place. Everyone is ok here, although the old body is feeling it after spending a few hours most mornings this week out in the garden.. so nice to have lovely weather and to be out in the fresh air - so I don't mind being home and keeping my 'distance socially'
Here is my card this week as Guest Designer for

Firstly with making this card I picked up this Anemone die a few weeks back and after watching a demo on how to create your own frame I had a go myself - partial die cutting and then cutting the frame with sharp blade and ruler ... really happy with how it turned out too.  I found this Distress Oxides smooched background in my stash - love the pretty soft colours and picked out the coral colour to use to watercolour my flowers.
To finish I attached the layers to a white card and added a stamped sentiment strip with foam tape.

To You

From my stash I decided to use these stamped and die cut flowers I made a few months back when I was making floating frames, so they came in handy today and I have arranged them using the layout sketch at Just Add Ink.  Then earlier this week I was playing around with stencils and heat embossing and this background is one of the panels which I coloured up today with some Distress Oxides in yellows.  To finish I dug out a mini tag - oh boy these have been hanging around in a drawer for a very long time (store bought)... just stamped on a small sentiment and tied it on with twine.

Big Hugs

Back this afternoon with another of my cards recently finished and photographed.
For this one I stamped the floral image in opposite corners on a square panel and white embossed it....then watercoloured the images with Distress Oxide inks.  To finish I added a narrow yellow frame onto a white square card and die cut the sentiment in yellow and green card and offset them to give a shadow effect....to finish I added a few drops of white Nuvo crystal drops.

Happiest of Birthdays

I stamped this floral corner image and gold embossed it then watercoloured it with Distress Oxide inks.  I fussy cut around it and also a piece of pink card and attached these to the corner of a white card panel.  I stamped and gold embossed the sentiment on a die cut oval shape and then using the Versamark pad created a fine line gold embossed edge.  To finish I added a few pink pearls.
