Christmas the magical time of the year

Today I have a Christmas card for you using an embossing folder... Sizzix Flurries   and  for the sparkly red holographic ornament I used Sizzix 3D Retro Ornaments which I fussy cut.
  • After I embossed the white card I cut a rough mask from scrap paper to cover the areas I didn't want the Versamark to touch, then sprinkled on Pearl Gold Embossing Powder and removed most of the excess with a fine paint brush before I heat set
  • I spritzed the whole panel with shimmery gold Mist (made from Magical Micas)
  • Attached the ornament with and gold thread with foam tape onto a light yellow card
  • Stamped the sentiment - Happy Little Stampers, Christmas Joy set, with black Versafine and clear embossing and attached with foam tape
  • To finish I added a few pale gold gems.

Two cards featuring Birds

I have quite a few bird stamps so the hardest part for this
was to decide which bird to use.... finally I picked Stampabilities  House Mouse one - I Don't Do Bugs.

I made a Christmas card for the first one
  • Stamped the bird in Versafine Vintage Sepia on a scrap of white card, watercoloured it with Distress Inks and fussy cut it out without the legs -  I wanted the bird to stand upright
  • Used the same in to stamp the fence post masking off the bits I didn't want but included the legs, then watercoloured it too with DI
  • Use a snow slope mask I blended Stormy Sky DI for the sky
  • With the mask still in place I stamped the trees - Crafty Individuals set 257, using Rustic Wilderness DI, then blended some Weathered Wood DI for the shadows
  • Lastly I stamped the Kaisercraft sentiment (Christmas Mini set) and added a fine red card border

Second card is a Friendship card... and thought this sentiment (Kaisercraft - Friendship Sentiments) went really well with the whole image and as you can see I didn't use all of the stamp image
  • Stamped most of the image with Smokey Grey Versafine and watercoloured with Distress Inks and trimmed the panel to a square
  • Matted the panel with grey and then pink card onto a white square card
  • Stamped the sentiment in black Versafine and clear embossed, then die cut it with Spellbinder circle die and trimmed the bottom edge.

  • Selected some matching green stripey paper for the background and assembled the elements with foam tape behind the flower.
  • Lastly stamped the sentiment (also from my pre-stamped stash) and attached to a green card strip to the card.

Hugs

I'm back with another of my Alcohol Ink backgrounds, I had to stop myself before I ended up with a pile to add to my stash... lots of fun and messy fingers

  • I added red and yellow Paper Mill AD to my vellum and a light mist of Isopropyl Alcohol (compliments of my son)
  • Die cut three of the leaves from the Sizzix -Cutout Leaves set, arranged together in one corner.
  • Used light yellow card behind the vellum when I attached it to the panel
  • Finished off with a stamped and clear embossed sentiment from Hero Arts - Hugs, in Versafine Clair Tulip Red, fussy cut and attached with foam tape.

Thanks for visiting,  have a Wonderful Creative weekend,   cheers

Trio of Poinsettia Christmas cards

Well after making a mess up of my Poinsettia panel, I fussy cut the flowers and made three cards... happy me ---   I gold embossed the flower from the Kaisercraft Peppermint Kisses set, fussy cut them and added red glitter glue to the centres.

I teamed the flower with matching glittery gold card for a frame and green strip to mount the green stamped (unknown) sentiment... using a background from my stash that shimmery gold marbled effect

On a white card panel I stamped and gold embossed the sentiment from Stamp It set 017, then added a die cut red glittery swirl from my stash to match the flower centres.

Also in my stash of embossed panels, I found this poinsettia piece and simply added a die cut sentiment - Simon Says Deco Trees set and used matching green card to frame the piece and attached the flower with foam tape.
