Merry Christmas
It's a public holiday here in Queensland and I am having a relaxing day at home by myself... so you can see I've been making cards. It is Marsha's All About Christmas theme Anything Goes at Watercooler Wednesday challenge and the new October theme at Christmas Cards All Year is - Monochromatic Browns.... that was quite tricky for me to do but I have a card. I found some designer paper with a Christmas theme in browns and decided to keep it simple with a curve cut and a plain light brown for the bottom to display my die cut sentiment. I inked this with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, water sprayed it and when it was dry - misted with Perfect Pearls. To finish the card I die cut a scattering of gold stars with one for the tree top. Merry Christmas
A last minute card from me today for the Christmas Cards All Year September challenge - Use Leaves. I love the elegant script of this sentiment - it lends itself to make a long card for a change. I just stamped and embossed it in gold and then used a new stamp to add the holly leaves scattered around the edge of my top panel. I used my birthday present - Distress Oxides, to stamp and colour the leaves and used Twinkling H2Os to colour the berries so they shine. I layered this onto red cardstock and on a white card. I am also posting to NBUS #12 - I love that Darnell encourages us to use our never before used stash. Thanks for taking a peek

Snowflake - Wishing you a Joyous Christmas
My card today is CASE-ing Stephs card (below) for the CASE-ing Christmas August challenge. I was inspired the snowflake theme, the colour, the background embossing and the string element. I stamped my sentiment and embossed it with white EP and then sponged over it with some distress ink to help it stand out of the red background. Attached this panel to a snowflake embossed background and tied a string bow topped with a mini button.
I am also posting to Christmas Cards All Year Round - August theme Snowflakes.

Snowman Giftcard Holder
My final project this afternoon is to make something that is not a card for the Winter Wonderland June challenge...and at Christmas Cards All Year the theme is Snowmen.....
So I've made a Snowman Giftcard Holder....I totally CASEd Lisa's gorgeous Snowman. I think it's a fun project and did enjoy making him - even if I have white circles of every size now. I am also going to post to Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra - Anything Goes. Thanks for taking a peek

Wishing you A Merry Christmas
Hi and happy Easter, fortunately for me I am able to skype with good friend Vikki today and make some cards after having a lovely few days with our kids and baby grand daughter who were here visiting for Easter. I've made another Christmas card for my growing stash, firstly for the Christmas Cards All Year Round challenge...month of April the theme is Poinsettias. Here I have a very old Christmas stamp that hasn't been used for a long time, so it's nice to see it on the finished card. I coloured it was Twinkling H2Os and added a sentiment to the blank space in the middle. Secondly I'm posting on Crafty Hazelnuts Christams challenge #173 - "If you want to get ahead, get a hat" ... inspiring you to include a hat on your card. Thanks for taking a peek Robyn
PS I got a Top Three Award
