Special Friendships

This week I joined in at the local craftshop - Scrapbook Fantasies, for some company and to make a few cards... Alicia made these cards below and above are my versions....I liked the pretty florals in the kit more than black so I thought I would share them with you.....look at the fabulous die cut heart on the bottom one. Time for Cake

Well finally I've got this card finished - you all understand how it is some days...nothing seems right, anyway now I'm happy.
This card is for the House-Mouse and Friends Monday challenge #HMFMC191...I do so  these cute images (the only cute I really do) and don't we all Eat Cake and probably too much on a birthday, but it is yummy. Also for Seize the Birthday challenge - Anything Goes
I coloured this image with Distress Ink and highlighted the cupcake wrapper with silvery gel pen. Then I found these two gorgeous background papers on a recent magazine purchase which suited my colour scheme. I modified the 'time for cake' sentiment and turned it into a banner - just drew some flags around the words and then threaded some twine across the top.  Finished the card with a birthday sentiment and a tag of ribbon fastened with a brad.

What's On Your Workdesk, Wednesday?

..in my opinion! Week 305 at What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday and blog hosted by Julia where one shares photos of the crafting goings on at your desk. Please pop over to WOYWW for all the details and join in the desk hopping fun.

So I've missed a few weeks of sharing having been away visiting the kids, celebrating a birthday and having a restful break over Easter.  It is good to be home and back at my desk. This is the usual state of my desk - three or four CIPs (cards in progress) over there on the left with a couple of ideas trying also to come together. A house mouse card in the final stages on my work pad. My empty water glass and four gorgeous cards on display at the back - oh I do enjoy finding lovely cards in my mail box...thank you Vikki, Becca, Jutta and LaVon.
Hope you all have a wonderful crafty week, and a big thank you to those who leave me lovely comments I hope to visit as many desks as I can over the next few days...Cheers Robyn

Happy Birthday

Good to be back at my desk and finishing off a few CIPs (cards in progress), but it was lovely to have a break, catch up with family and enjoy Easter.
My card today is a birthday card for Seize the Birthday  - Anything Goes and Pals Paper Arts PPA246 - lovely colour palette. It is also for my friends ABC Tags and Cards Project - letter E for Embossing.
I have double embossed the white panel by first placing the Label die face down white card which is placed on my rubber embossing mat and then my open Swiss Dots embossing folder on top - I ran this through the Cuttlebug and I got a frame on the card and dots all around....I like this. Then I stamped the sentiment on a smaller die cut Label and 3D foam mounted it in the center.  I layered the panel on an orange shade of card and finished it off with a die cut flower, leaves and a 'kraft' hessian bow.  Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

ABC Tag/Cards

Hi ladies....you've all been busy bees during March....and our "E" and "F" projects
Karen was lucky to head off to Tasmania for a holiday and has sent this great view from Mt Wellington - in place of her "E" project
also her "F" - flower card
Lorraine had an ingenious idea for "E" - Envelope
 and Film for "F"
Robyn W made this cute Easter card
and just check out her "F" - frog pop up card

Vikki R - made this lovely "E" tag - Engagement
and for her "F" tag - Face and Flowers
Vikki W made this gorgeous "E" for Elegant Butterfly tag
And myself  - I chose embossing for my "E" element
and  "F" for Fairy card.

Our Beautiful World

Today Manuela has suggested as our theme
SHADES OF PINK
As I just love my flowers I am going to just share a few photos of the pink ones
and these are all found growing in the wild - I have no idea of their names

This is the Fraser Island Creeper native to the Capricorn Coastal area of Queensland,
I just love it and am hoping to find it in a nursery so I can have it growing in my garden.
Thanks for taking a peek, we would love you to share your "Pink" photos with us at Our Beautiful World - hope you have time to visit the other team members blogs and see their lovely photos.

Cheers and Happy Easter Robyn

Friday Smiles

Share a smile...
Week 113 at Friday Smiles....join in over at Annies blog and share what has had you smiling this week....and Happy Easter
I've been smiling all day today because I got to baby sit gd Sophie for the whole day as mum had to work (nurse) and day was off building a work bench.
I always have my camera handy and today I did take a few that had me smiling. Cheeky face in the first photo...Sophie loves her hats and shoes.
Then a quiet moment having morning tea and watching Play School
These are the best two photos though...the family cat Luna loves Sophie and I caught them rubbing faces
Sophie even lay her head on the couch and let Luna give her a head hug...
Thanks for taking a peek and hope you have a lovely Easter break, hugs Robyn
